Exact Globe+ vs. Genius Solutions

Exact Global is extensively used at EWS as a strategic tool of importance for managing our core Financial processes like Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger accounts, Financial entries, Transactions etc. It is a critical tool for EWS and integrated with our ERP for a seamless operations of financial processes in the enterprise

Genius is great for analysis data using Microsoft products like Power BI or Excel as it links directly to them. Genius has also helped the work flow of our company a lot by streamlining processes. One process that helps our company a lot is the ability to print all work orders and fabrication/assembly plans in their batch printing module. Printing these would take up to five hours per assembly in Quickbooks and it now takes 10 minutes.

• Exact offers a large range of user defined fields, which is especially useful once you've built a base on the system and need to customize certain aspects. Just last week we added the ability to track customer training by model using custom UDFs.
• Engineering bills of material are tracked in Exact and the engineering BOM module is pretty intuitive and easy to use. Modification and drill down/up is not difficult once you figure out he basics.
• Inventory control is fairly simple and offers a lot of information and options to track different kinds of products. We use bulk and each UOMs primarily, but others are used regularly depending on application.

• The production is simple and efficient, this is done directly from our 3D design software (SolidWorks).
• Technical support is efficient, when problems arise, solutions are provided quickly.
• The monitoring of production costs is clear and easy to consult.

• Support hours (now, from 8h00 to 17h00, Monday to Friday).
• The info with help button (F1) to be more easy to find.

Exact Global is a strategic tool for financial core processes operations at EWS. It is integrated with ERP to seamlessly deliver key processes like O2C, P2P etc. and very well liked by users for its ease of use and flexibility of data moving across different systems. Exact Global is a part of EWS’s enterprise architecture and roadmap aligned to PACE strategy for achieving business objectives

Genius is easy to use but you have to male sure it's set up properly. You also have to make sure you understand what an ERP should do to know the right questions to ask when you contact customer support.

I've used other ERP systems in large organizations, one custom and one SAP. SAP is a very powerful suite of software, but comes at a price point that is unobtainable for many smaller companies. Exact is more realistic and accessible for smaller companies that are not necessarily global commodities, but instead smaller manufacturers in niche markets. I haven't had the opportunity to review many other options in this size range.

I am using above mentioned software on different clients. As for manufacturing client Genius Solutions ERP is good easy to maintain inventory, For BOM Creation its help. As per our need this software provides us valuable information and helps the business growing smoothly. Overall its easy to use and budget friendly.

• Being able to track time, cost of outside services and cost of materials has allowed us to trust the accuracy of our product markups and prices.
• Improved inventory control allows us to get products out quicker.
• The ability to sync the database with Power BI has allowed up to have a better picture of our financials and projected cashflow.
