Fantastic product to embed in any SaaS solution for reporting and data exports. Excellent performance, ability to customize fields and tons of other features out of the box that makes it a well-rounded tool that is easy to use. To top it off their support is amazing for answering technical questions quickly and they provide great examples to learn how to interact with the code. We are very happy with our choice to use Flexmonster!

Qlik Sense

Qlik is great for environments that need data analytics but do not have the budget for something such as Tableau or Power BI. It was about a tenth of the price of competitors. It took some development work on our end, but ended up saving us hundred of thousands of dollars just in comparison to other Business Intelligence tools, not including the benefits of the smarter business decisions it led us to.

  • I use the smart search feature often to help locate key parts of information across data sources.
  • The expression editor is fairly easy to learn even if you don't have an advanced background.
  • The data load editor has both advanced and basic functionality depending on your skill level and business needs.

Qlik Sense

  • Not a lot of room for customization as we were used to in QlikView
  • UI and default navigation can be very clunky and not user friendly
  • Although the backend is fantastic, the front end experience leaves a lot to be desired. As a developer you don't have a lot of options to customized your app unless you turn to Javascript, CSS and HTML. This is not a common stack you would find in most BI developers

Standard user interface and powerful analytic functions is GREAT.As technical person working in the background there are more things to do to make this a completely great tool.Some functions that should be standard requires consult scripting and hours.Now we are using it quite advanced and with many servers and in combination with QlikView. So overall I love the tool. But it could be better and user friendly and powerful in the background

Qlik Sense

I did not select Qlik Sense. Both Tableau and Power Bi are better solutions than Qlik. Tableau provides better data visualizations. Power BI provides much better ease of data extraction and is more scalable for embedding into software solutions. Both provide better licensing deals (=cheaper) than Qlik. Overall, I would choose Power BI, Tableau then Qlik Sense in that order.
