Framer vs. Proto.io

Framer is a very versatile way to design and develop websites. It is very user friendly and it keeps improving. It also has very generous CMS plans for small businesses.

Proto.io is the perfect solution for UX/UI designers that need to create and share interactive prototypes. Proto excels at the interactive part. There are so many different ways to make elements change or interact, whether you're viewing the prototype on a computer (mouse clicks) or on a phone (screen touches). We could build and prototype our entire mobile app on here if we wanted to because Proto.io has the customization that we need to make the app look and feel like ours. If you're looking for a software to create wireframes and static mockups, Proto.io is probably overkill for you.

• The main issue with Framer is bandwidth.
• A lot of clients are suffering from the bandwidth, and they need to give more space for this.
• Customer suffers from bandwidth increasing because of the bandwidth they need to pay double

Framer is easy to learn as all of our team members are familiar with Figma and Framer has almost same user interface. Pre built animation and templates saves a lot of time, publishing workflows is easy. I rated 8/10 because mastering advanced interaction may take some time and managing larger projects can be improved.

Framer is a good balance between complexity and price. Wix and Tilda look good for even simpler projects, while Framer offers more sophisticated options. But at a certain point of complexity, as I already mentioned - number of pages, complicated automations- I would move to Webflow. However, if the project is simple enough, no need to be overloaded with a complex platform, and Framer works just well enough.

Proto.io is definitely the premier mockup and wireframe application. Lucidchart shares some of the capability but can be a bit clunky. Proto.io is interactive and smooth and helps you to see exactly how your UI will look and behave before the development stage. Additionally, it's library of native components is robust.
