Gusto offers three pricing plans for payroll, benefits, and HR.
Started Gusto after using quickbooks for years. Gusto is so much simpler to use and run reports. There customer service is also quick and helpful. Gusto helps my organization with payroll, benefits administration, and HR functions, including hiring, onboarding, and talent management.
Skrill is my preferred way of doing money transactions abroad typically when I need a safe secured and efficient way of sending money overseas and the amount is low. Most other portals tend to charge a transfer fee for lower amounts but Skrill does not charge a transaction fee when I use the ACH Transfer even for lower amounts. For personal use, I have used the debit card to fuel transactions and it allows you the same facility as the debit card. If I need to complete the transaction within a day and want the money to be available in the receiving account overseas the same day, I prefer another portal that has the option of express service that Skrill does not offer.
Gusto really kills it on the simplicity. The app and website are very clear and straightforward.
Gusto also does a great job at being easy to navigate, visually pleasing, and logically posed.
Gusto communicates very clearly and provides just the right amount of communication.
Gusto makes the onboarding process very easy. I recently started at a new company and the process of filling out the necessary documents, filling out forms, and getting my benefit information input was soooooo easy!
Adding in previous time manually could be more accessible.
Notifications for when employees manually change hours.
We should allow 1099 users to use the mobile app instead of restricting them to the website, especially since they can just log into the full website on their mobile device.
Unless they break it, I'm never leaving. It's just too easy. Gusto is also really affordable, and for what I pay, it's worth having the historical record within the system. I like that I can go back and pull up W2's for year's past. This sort of easy access reporting, has been helpful especially when getting reports for PPP loans.
Overall great! It has a clean, intuitive interface that’s easy to navigate for both admins and employees. Tasks like running payroll, requesting time off, or onboarding new hires are simple and streamlined. While there’s room for improvement in advanced features and reporting, it’s a strong platform for small to mid-sized teams looking for an all-in-one HR solution.
Gusto's customer service has really deteriorated lately and they seem to have really changed their focus. It used to be when you called you were routed to an individual who knew about payroll, benefits, reporting, etc. but now you get someone who seems to have not received the correct training. My last call about a dismissal payroll took me over an hour of my time and the person still could not help me and finally transferred me to someone else.
Workful was a budget-conscious choice last year. However, it couldn't handle the nuances of a non-profit and was also not available to automate payroll tax filing in every state. They abruptly stopped offering payroll service, leaving me to switch clients immediately. Justworks is a good platform for larger companies or places needing more options for benefit administration, etc. It works well for a more prominent non-profit I assist. It would be cost-prohibitive for small companies with five or fewer employees.
I use different payment systems depending on the goal. Skrill is good when my contractor prefers this way of payment. Also, Skrill is a preferred payment option in many online services, which makes it easy to use. Also, Skrill issues a real plastic Visa card you can use like any bank card.
For me, it is hard to quantify payroll software as having an ROI. It does save quite a bit of time per pay period, so perhaps we could assign a theoretical number to an employee taking that time. I'd say, at the least, it saves 30-60 minutes a pay period compared to a more difficult-to-use payroll software.
I can quickly deposit my international multi-currency account without making an expensive wire transfer, with no border restriction as long as I have the mobile app with me.
Skrill is very convenient for each transfer amount up to EURO 2,500, and EURO 15,000/monthly.
Possibility of hiring freelancers for my company with immediate payments.
