Solid Commerce is a cloud-based channel and marketplace selling solution that integrates with a number of marketplaces, along with the users ERP, warehouse management application, accounting system, etc. to provide integrated management of orders, inventory, and logistics, as well as get discounts on shipping with major carriers and manage content about products on all marketplaces.
Any Amazon seller or company who's products are sold on Amazon would benefit from this. It gives incredible insights into different product niches as well as specific product sales and trends. It also is also very helpful to see what key words a competitor is ranking on better than you and how you can improve your listings.
Solid Commerce may be helpful for small businesses that want to reach from one marketplace to become multi-channel based. However, I would recommend short contracts, long trial periods, request a teammate with 2+ years experience at the company and don't be afraid to communicate your needs. I do feel there is a place for the company in the marketplace, it is less expensive than most, it has a lot of benefits in segmentation and pricing needs, but it can lack in reliability and is not as reactive to customers for an e-commerce market.
As their company grew and our e-commerce department grew, Solid Commerce lacked in customer service.
At one point we could see a high turnover rate of Solid Commerce employees, leading to a disconnect for customers.
We had a hard time functioning with other external tools like ShipWorks, ShipStation, our DMS, even uploading using excel files became unreliable.
We ended our relationship with Solid Commerce less then a year ago because we could not rely on their automation and communication. They knew this for months before we decided to terminate the relationship.
Helium 10 was recommended to me by a very successful Amazon seller and business owner so I did not do much looking. I know Jungle Scout is similarly priced and capable. I have someone in my network now that uses it. Sometimes I will ask them to run ASIN data for me when H10 is being inconsistent and it seems to be able to produce a good report for me.
ChannelAdvisor is a step up in building our e-commerce business. They have met our communication and customer service needs. They work with our other tools like e-Desk and ShipStation reliably. However, that step up comes with additional costs. ChannelAdvisor is an investment that is higher then Solid Commerce. However, we are about 10 months in and not once have we lost connection with ShipStation or not been able to print pick tickets
