SAP
EWM works very well with S4/HANA; we wanted a simpler integration landscape, so our goal was to use as many SAP features as possible, as long as they generated business value. Due to limitations in the outbound process, we use third-party TM support.

SAP
SAP extended warehouse management is an excellent system and well-suited to the SAP ecosystem, although we evaluated other warehouse management products and found EWM well-suited to our organization's requirements and SAP’s roadmap, meeting our future expectations regarding maintenance, upgrades, life cycle management, and migration to the cloud. The implementation was not very complex; however, the testing cycle was crucial for our systems, as we managed our warehouses internally and thus made critical decisions.

Clients are mostly using SAP as their core ERP and eWM becomes a natural choice coming embedded with SAP Extended Warehouse Management 2. SAP Extended Warehouse Management is feature heavy and fulfills the needs for any larger operation for which BY and Manhatten might not be suitable 3. Multiple consulting vendors or partners for support and maintenance
