iSpring Market (discontinued) vs. Trainual

iSpring Market is suited for small organizations with limited staff and limited IT resources. Allowing users to self-register is a huge time-saver for small organizations. SEO, Google Tag Manager and SSO are included and easy to set up. For the most part, the documentation is good and the help desk provides timely customer service. iSpring Market is not the best tool for larger and more sophisticated organization. It's extremely difficult to get global reporting data, it doesn't import data from other systems, and it only exports a limited amount of data for use in other applications such as business intelligence software.

We have offices set around the world, and hiring new team members in certain countries makes it a bit difficult, especially now to fly out or fly in to help get them situated and fully trained. This really helps close the gaps in between the distance and training. Makes onboarding a heck of a lot easier.

• It is easy to use.
• It works with Stripe.
• The UI is clean and intuitive for customers.

• Tracks progress for training.
• Easily determines a new hires competency in handling tasks on their own.
• Houses all of our documents and videos in one location versus several.

• There are few global reporting features. I can get specific information on a user or a course, but there is no easy way to find users who made an account and didn't enroll in a course. You have to look at every user, or download spreadsheets and search.
• There are very few hooks available to Zapier to transfer data to other services.
• You can't transfer data into the iSpring Market using Zapier, so we can't use our member management system to populate courses.

• The subject organization could use work! It's just jumbled and needs folders.
• It's very cumbersome to have to click back and forth to subjects when you are within a task. I wish there was a larger side bar that could show ALL subjects, topics, and tasks in one glance with drop-down menus.

During the entire sales process, the Trainual team was great to work with. After the sale, their onboard process was top notch as well and was very quick to answer any questions and actually were open to customizing the platform to meet our specific needs. They have been great this entire time.

We picked iSpring Market because of cost, maintenance, and easy of use.

• This is our first time using anything like this!
• Previously we just wrote task items in shared Google documents. It was the best of what we could do at the time, but this is a whole different world, and we love it! Being able to integrate quizzes and photos and interactive video is excellent!

• We have saved thousands of dollars a year in licensing fees compared with other products we used.
• We have eliminated the need for contractors, to build content for iSpring Market, saving tens of thousands of dollars, because we can publish directly into the system using iSpring Suite.
• We get 80% fewer help desk requests for enrollment and payment compared to the last two products we used.

• Saves time for the team for training
• The fact that everything is in one location is really good!
• Allows us to edit and change and adjust as the business does
• Keeps us flexible and not cemented to a way of doing things
