SAP Digital Manufacturing is well suited for Manufacturing with shopfloor execution, manufacturing integrated with S/4HANA that requires seamless synchronization of production orders, material consumption, confirmations, inventory movements. and SAP Digital Manufacturing is also effective when production equipment and machine need to provide real time production, downtime, and quality data for monitoring, analytics, and decision making. SAP Digital Manufacturing is less appropriate for very small manufacturing operations and budget constrained small and medium manufacturers

The interface works well once we have a clear knowledge on it. It gives clear process steps and real time information The UI can be more simplified and the number of clicks required to for certain functionalities can be reduced

So far I have not explore other product other than SAP Digital Manufacturing because our core business offer is on MES. However, we are planning on explore some ERP development capabilities, specially to open up an space to asset management module which can bring a lot of value to our clients.
