SAP Digital Manufacturing is a solid solution for discrete manufacturing since it covers most of the scenarios you could expect from this industry. Where SAP Digital Manufacturing still have some room for improvement is for process industry due to its rigidity when it comes to configurations so a little bit more of flexibility would be beneficial for some clients so they dont feel the need of complex customizations

  • Edge component - this needs to be improved to provide a seamless connection.
  • The inbuilt functionalities like in ME instead of building separate production process.
  • The EDHR reports needs to be similar in SAP ME.
  • Configurable OEE reports and history reports delivered out of the box.

So far I have not explore other product other than SAP Digital Manufacturing because our core business offer is on MES. However, we are planning on explore some ERP development capabilities, specially to open up an space to asset management module which can bring a lot of value to our clients.
