SAP
Scenarios where a company needs to have a lot of visibility and control over the materials it uses for manufacturing, companies that are generators of polluting materials and companies that need to manage different EPRs in different countries. It is perhaps less useful for smaller companies whose sector is not related or involved in waste management and who do not have much volume or presence abroad. These may be able to cope with a customised development that contains their costs.

SAP
It is basically the easiest choice for people who are already running SAP ECC or S4 as their ERP as that means they can get all of the data sources automatically without mapping efforts. That compensates for some of the shortcomings mentioned earlier, and to be fair, tools from other vendors (e.g., Microsoft) have the same problem anyway.

Cons
SAP
  • On the subject of our Business, we need to have Ecovidrio (Ecoembes) declaration included in RDP, as soon as possible. It is urgent for us.
  • The features feed for uploading information to the RDP should be more streamlined and user friendly
  • I would also improve the data quality part, it doesn't really make it clear where the problem might lie.

These are some of the other Risk Management softwares known of. Although these solutions may not match SAP's offerings as an entire package (as just focusing on the Risk management side for this question) and not fully knowledgeable to their capabilities but SAP Responsible Design and Production provides a reliable system that performs well and provides the data analytics we require.

Same lack of industry-specific content on both, but SAP has the main advantage of direct connection to the ERP data so it saves significant efforts in comparison. Regarding dashboards look and feel and so on, it is more a matter of personal preference between PowerBi and SAP, we personally prefer SAP as it is a bit richer in ability to bring in more data and filter on it.
