Does data compression very well, produces query results very quickly, ability to scale up as data volume/size grow in an organization, row level versioning is in memory and hence the speed. It is a very stable product for large enterprises. More detailed documentation on how to use this product in the initial stages would be really welcome.Incentivized
It's a great tool when building the software, the ability to add SQL and No-SQL databases. Very convenient to write the queries and generate the filtered data we require. Gives the ability to export, import databases of various formats and generate reports from them. It might not be suitable if you want the data to be seen in a visualized manner Incentivized
Inserting millions of rows of data takes seconds.Aggregating billions of rows of data is insanely fast (compared to Oracle, Sybase, and SQL Server).Incentivized
Table filters are simple and easy to useI love the ability to install plugins: Export tables to Laravel migrations is one of our most used pluginsSuper easy to connect to local Docker containers, Vagrant and remote DBs through SSHIncentivized
The pricing schedule is a bit expensive and cumbersome.Licensing for a virtual machine is difficult to understand.Incentivized
It crashes CONSTANTLY. If you have more than one connection tab open and close one of them, it crashes. If you just have it open in the background, it randomly crashes. If you're using it, it randomly crashes. When you try to send a crash report, the CRASH REPORTER CRASHES.Can be a bit slow.No way that I'm aware of to query multiple databases in the same query.Incentivized
SAP IQ support is top-notch. I prefer starting all my SAP IQ support tickets with their Instant Messenger, where the majority of our issues are resolved. If it makes it to their ticketing system, they are very prompt at responding and very knowledgeable in the platform.Incentivized
It's open-source and very convenient to work with. I can easily import any database I want using a data dump and runt the queries on them to derive the data insights on the data. I might want to use Excel to visualize that, that might be one of the disadvantages.Incentivized
SAP IQ is perhaps an under-marketed product in the sense that it is able to scale up very well and perform much faster and more efficiently than other products such as Oracle - when we ran multiple large queries on both Sybase IQ and Oracle, we found that that results were much faster in Sybase IQ and this gave the confidence to go for this product.Incentivized
MySQL Workbench is a wonderful tool, but the routine editing of existing data is note nearly as straightforward as it is in Sequel Pro. The ability to sort a data view with a single click makes Sequel Pro my definite choice. phpMyAdmin is pretty ubiquitous, but the routine editing of existing data is much more cumbersome than it is in Sequel Pro.Incentivized
The ROI over a number of years has been good. Seeing as how we use it for billing, it has an obvious ROI to us.As they have been modifying their licensing structure, it's been difficult to keep up and understand how they work.Incentivized
The user interface is great. Since all of our computers are macOS based, we can all use it and share knowledge with our colleaguesIt enables me to make things in such a faster way that it enables us to spend our time with coding and providing more solutions to our clientsThe workflow is much improved with the import and export feature, so we don't waste time with that kind of work.Incentivized
