Secured Signing
Chose Secured Signing
I haven't looked in detail at alternatives, as Secured Signing does everything we have needed it to, at a very reasonable price point.
Chose Secured Signing
I prefer SignNow, to be honest. It's cheap on a monthly basis, is easier to use, and when I make mistakes uploading an incorrect file, I'm not going to lose one of the document uploads I've paid for (given this is the pricing model with Secured Signing). Secured Signing is a …
Chose Secured Signing
I didn't really dig into this but looked briefly at Adobe and DocuSign. Talking with other users put me off - until we found SecuredSigning.
Symantec VIP
Chose Symantec VIP
The Symantec VIP solution has a more easy implementation process, which makes implementation faster.
The Prove Of Concept of the solution presents the best results compared with Duo.
The final price charged was cheaper.
Chose Symantec VIP
Symantec VIP has far fewer glitches than programs such as McAffee. Our company has tried other programs with failure, but now that we've switched to Symantec, our workplace confidence and efficiency has gone up. With ease of set-up and security of 2-factor authentication and …
Chose Symantec VIP
Duo is good but Symantec VIP really takes the cake. Both Symantec VIP and Duo Security are used as a two factor application but Symantec VIP also allows you to use physical tokens. Some of our users prefer those over their phones and we can easily leverage Symantec VIP for that.
Chose Symantec VIP
Symantec VIP was the preferred vendor duo to the flexibility and reliability. It was a very simple implementation and ultimately the best choice for our institution.
Chose Symantec VIP
Symantec VIP is too easy to use for our company. IT sets it up for us and we simply have to request for them to add new devices each time. It is an app and the numbers refresh fairly quickly. Overall, it is a painless integration and simple enough that all the employees can use …
Chose Symantec VIP
We liked the pricing and support structure of Symantec VIP when compared to Azure Active Directory. When stacked up against Duo Security, the name recognition was also about the same (as it was between Symantec and Microsoft). We liked the speed of the mobile implementation …
Chose Symantec VIP
When it comes to Symantec's value offering, it's on par with its competitors with the exception of not offering offline tokens. Other competing products offer offline tokens so this is definitely something they should think about adding. The interface is better than some of its …
Chose Symantec VIP
Symantec VIP compares really well to other alternatives but there is no offline token key. This is a features the competitors are starting to offer which makes a difference in the event the user has forgotten their token or there is an issue with the online verification.
Chose Symantec VIP
VIP access manager is a whole lot more flexible than RSA: with the ability to attach to land lines or sms text messaging, it was definitely the right move.
Chose Symantec VIP
It is a trusted company and the product is easy to use and highly secure. Easy to implement across a large organization.

If you need any documents digitally signed, it's a perfect solution and is legally binding. We used it for signing all documents that didn't require a wet signature. It's a perfect solution as well if you're working remotely and can't get paperwork done in person. I would also suggest it to those who are looking for an option to have documents signed electronically instead of using paper.

Symantec VIP is well suited for enterprise institutions, like our own, managing a wide range of devices and wanting to provide their users with an extra layer of security. Being able to have 2-factor authentication with a unique pin was key for us and this would be well suited for any organization that holds sensitive information like, in our case, student records. They have great support and getting issues resolved does not take much time, a quick call to support usually straightens issues out.

Cons
  • We don't have particularly complex requirements and it does everything we need, plus has many other more advanced features.

  • Reliability on the app. Most users dislike having the authentication app on their cell phone because if they don't have their cellular device on-hand then they're unable to authenticate.
  • Perhaps a bio-metric enhancement in the near future would take this application to the next level.

Training users (and ourselves) to think differently is the challenge - but given most users are not as familar with the computer systems which run their accounting software, that's not new.

Return on Investment
  • Digital signing is simply one of the highest return on investment things you can do. It costs next to nothing compared to the cost of printing, signing, scanning, emailing, chasing multiple parties multiple times, printing and compiling counterparts, re-scanning, and saving that you'd otherwise do.

  • It was as easy to implement and manage as promised, so that definitely saved us time and frustration.
  • It allowed us to improve on our existing PHI and PII security measures.
  • Allowing secure access from remote locations, especially smart phones, was a huge plus.
