SlickText vs. Twist: Team Messaging

Very well suited for those getting started with SMS campaigns. It was easy for everyone on our team to pick up and get going without a lot of training. If you have mobile number lists in the hundreds of thousands I can see how it would be tough to manage with the lists, keywords, etc. I could be wrong as we are not in that space but that would be my assumption.

If you have no existing messaging solution, Twist is a viable option. I can't find any reason to recommend it ahead of Slack, Spaces, Teams, Discord, etc. This is one more solution with team messaging functionality, and file sharing, and message archiving/searching. If budget is an issue, Twist can be replaced with a free solution like Discord.

• User friendly interface
• A good resource for making sure we maintain compliance with all the privacy policies
• The text-to-join feature looks awesome. That is the one we are hoping to get started soon.

• Easy to find resources for short codes
• The current automation is nice for beginners but it's not terribly sophisticated for experienced users
• Minimal integrations to this point but I'm sure more are on the way

Very easy to use. Intuitive website that our entire team has been able to quickly pick up. In my opinion it is the most user friendly interface of all the software we did demos with.

We felt SlickText was the most user friendly, budget friendly, and we liked the fact that they didn't balk at the fact we wanted to go month to month to start so we didn't end up in a long term commitment right out of the gate.

Does not stand out at all. I can't think of any reason to select Twist over more popular choices like Slack, Teams, Discord, or Spaces. We use Twist because it forced on us by a specific scenario. Otherwise, we would just use an existing platform (ex: Slack) to handle this communication

• We are receiving a click through rate anywhere between 12-20% on our renewal reminder texts
• Those people who click have a conversion rate of around 50% which is the best of any of the campaigns we run
• One negative could be if we start to use the tool for promotional texts then there may be a negative impact on the member experience. Need to use it in moderation

• We were forced to use Twist in a certain environment, but no change to our ROI
• Provides one more place to look, one more place to try and find messages.
