Spanning Backup vs. Veeam Backup for Google Cloud Platform

Spanning Backup for G Suite is great for businesses or schools who want peace of mind that important data in Google Drive are backed up and easy to restore. It should not be used to backup your servers/etc as the backup and restore process is not THAT quick. Not slow, but not the quickest.

Until now, it was not possible to back up the server and respond to emergencies, but with the introduction of this software, it is possible to go back. By supporting One Stop for various virtual OS environments, ease of use is greatly improved. Contributes to reduced TCO and high ROI by reducing management man-hours.

• Management console navigation opens additional tabs, but I believe they are working to improve that.
• It would be nice to be able to delete emails and files from user accounts from within Spanning instead of having to login to Google as the user.
• Google Forms meta-data is not able to be restored to other accounts.

I would like a retention option on the data, but since this feature does not currently exist, I give it a 9. Everything has met our standards and needs and we are now freed up from the manual efforts it was taking for backing up Salesforce using the out-of-the-box features of Salesforce.

First and foremost, this solution fits better into the budget than either of the solutions above. Additionally, I think it suits the market I was in better than the other software that play better in a strictly SMB or Enterprise space. Overall, I think this is a niche product that fits well. It's a flexible product and one that can accomplish and provide value for you in whatever capacity you need at the moment.

• Allowed us to restore our data various times with minimal costs
• Gives us great piece of mind with the regular scheduled backing up
• Pretty simple to set up and configure. Easy integration with SFDC

• It is now possible to easily switch back when a problem occurs due to server backup acquisition and generation management.
• The acquisition time has been shortened and the job is now completed overnight.
• Also, it is amazing that "This high-performance backup solution is free!" is open to the public, like Community Edition.
