Tanium is well suited for organizations where enterprise infrastructure has great significance and needs to be properly managed as well as protected. Most organizations depend upon their infrastructure to sustain so Tanium can be a boon for them to sustain in this competitive market. However, Tanium is less appropriate for the traditional offices that don't have or have a less online presence.

This is a really good all-purpose editor if you need anything beyond form signing and basic commenting capabilities. It's uncluttered and easy to use, and doesn't push any AI features, thank goodness. The security and redaction features are useful for both business and everyday life, and the "make editable" feature usually makes it easy to change PDF text without messing up the whole layout of the document. Plus, it's easy to rearrange pages or make small tweaks right before you hit send.

    Cons
    Tanium
    • One issue is its ring topology, as the data is stored in central hubs and pushed through its peer nodes. If the central hub fails, then the associated node will also result in failure.
    • Another problem is that all Tanium management is on premises requiring the customer to maintain it. If we want ask any help from Tanium support we always get a response like "you are maintaining it yourselves and it's your responsibility.
    • The Tanium User Interface could be improved a bit as, although the tool is rich in performance, a more impressive UI might really attract new customers.

    • We have seen performance issues with *very large* PDFs over 100MB, and many of our files exceed 200MB. It seems like the 32-bit version is installed by default, and a 64-bit version may manage memory better. Perhaps newer releases have addressed this.
    • Recapturing a product key when you need to uninstall it from one computer and reinstall it on another can be challenging. Other key recapture options should be available in the event of a hard drive crash.
    • I hope Tungsten continues to work on layout replication when converting a PDF to Word or Excel. Sometimes the frames don't lay out as close to the original Word document as we think they should.

Tungsten Power PDF is easy to use, the staff all like it, and there are no issues with it on any level. It is a more cost-effective solution to our PDF needs than other products currently available on the market. This product works as intended and it fits our business needs perfectly.

I found it easy to learn and observe that my colleagues also pick it up quickly when they get a license. I've been somewhat involved in training users on the various features, and I find that it's very intuitive compared to some of the other software that my organization uses.

Other that a PDF partially disappearing if left up for a long period of time - no issues. (If you close it and reopen it, it is all there. We have some PDFs that are 400-600 pages long.)

Pages nearly always load at the expected rapid speed. Some documents that print quickly from Adobe Reader print much more slowly from Power PDF. I have never generated a report - that's a feature I didn't know existed until now and do not know what it's for

In my experience, Tungsten Power PDF support is difficult to engage with. Like many other software companies, the people and/or AI being used by Tungsten Power PDF support rely on canned responses that have absolutely nothing to do with the problem or that do not fully or properly address the question or problem. Trying to get a live human to actually interact with and provide actual, helpful support has been, in my experience, nearly impossible and is like pulling teeth!

I did not get training from any representative of TrustRadius or from the company from whom TrustRadius acquired the product. I got an in-person overview of the 2018 version of the product from my predecessor who was about to retire from the job I now hold. He did not go into very many of the features and probably only knew about the ones he used most frequently. I gained additional knowledge from the help files, from online searches, and from just fiddling with the product. There's nothing like learning by doing

We watched the training videos and tested out the features and functionality side by side. Some features are not used on a regular basis is it is convenient to go back and review training on that particular functionality when needed.

Tanium is always my first choice, so much excellent feedback online from genuine users, easy to use in any system environment, and value for money, so many good things about Tanium stacks up against all the other competitors in the market. Tanium is one of the most reliable and trusted risk and compliance management software.

    Our
organisation previously relied on another PDF tool which on many occasions
struggled to process voluminous bundles of information i.e. 200 pages and
above, causing the software to stop responding if attempting to process a
document over 80 pages. However, with Tungsten Power PDF, we have never
encountered such issues, even with documents as large as 500 pages.

Not really familiar since I'm the only person who uses it. But in the past it has been my understanding that Power PDF was offered only on a single-license basis, so it's been expensive for me to use it at home and at work because I had to pay for it on my own. In my current position management supports it so I at least only have to pay for it once.

    • Administrative time spent on document management and preparation has decreased by about 15%.
    • Occasionally, software crashes, and unsaved work is lost when working with large PDF files.
    • Flat-fee lump-sum pricing has saved us roughly $50 per month after the original purchase price of the software licenses was recouped.
