Perfect website accessibility solution for nonprofits

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

accessiBe provides us with a technology solution that makes our website fully accessible and compliant with all accessibility standards. All websites should consider their visitor's experience, and that includes people with various disabilities. As a nonprofit serving people with disabilities, it's especially important to us to provide a fully accessible website, and accessiBe makes that possible. With a small piece of code, the widget allows users to select a preset adjustment, such as blind/visually impaired, cognitive impairment, etc., or manually adjust the appearance of interactivity.

Pros

  • Website accessibility
  • Inclusivity
  • Accessibility compliance

Cons

  • None, everything has worked great for us with little effort!

Likelihood to Recommend

accessiBe is great for any website! I highly recommend it for nonprofit websites. You never know who is visiting your website, and 1 in 4 adults live with a disability. That's a large percentage of your website visitors, and accessiBe provides a great technology solution to give your visitors a great experience! Installing the widget was incredibly easy, and within minutes, we had a fully compliant website. accessiBe is more than just a website accessibility tool; they are working on expanding their products and services, and they make a strong point to listen to their customers. As a company, accessiBe has a strong commitment to inclusion practices, and this is evident in the fact that they hire employees with disabilities. We love doing business with accessiBe, and they are supportive of our nonprofit.

accessiBe - nothing compare to YOU

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have been contacted by many organizations that are at risk for litigation because of their web presence. Working with accessiBe has given us the opportunity to offer a solution that is updated daily, alleviates risk, and is cost-effective. Many of our clients see this as a cost-effective insurance policy to avoid risk and to offer all of their website visitors a level playing field.

Pros

  • Client support
  • Literature on the product
  • Notification of updates

Cons

  • Expand service offering

Likelihood to Recommend

If you have a website and over 50 employees you should consider an ADA plugin for your website to avoid risk and frivolous lawsuits. Certain US states and Canadian provinces were making this mandatory back in 2020 but due to the COVID pandemic, these dates were pushed back. Either way, this is a cost-effective solution to avoid legal issues. If you have a home security system then you should also have a plugin for your business website that covers you from risk.

Becoming Accessible with Acessibe

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are able to offer clients the ability to offer accessible solutions online to their businesses. This service is ideal for everyone as the end-user has the power to decide how they would like the tool to display the online site with the totally customizable selections for each feature offered. The tool allows for people with additional accessible tools to integrate with the dashboard or allow people to only use the user options without additional software or hardware devices attached. We love that it enables the user to make their interaction personal to themselves.

Pros

  • Text and image resizing.
  • Ability to search additional meanings from the web that might be be found on the site. For example the meaning of a word or jargon.
  • The settings chosen by the user are retained on the local device so they do not have to reconfigure the user interface when they return to a website.
  • The features for ADHD with focused highlighting.

Cons

  • Adding a font changer especially for people with Dyslexia.
  • ability to gather Closed Captions or Read video transcripts.
  • ability to control videos from the user interface, some embedded videos do not have the option to pause or rewind video.
  • When viewing video not to be taken away from the site or offer alternatives that are not relevant to the site. Website owners often use embedded videos from YouTube which then offers other videos that are not related. AccessiBe should be able to play the embed link in a separate iframe which can auto-close once the video is over.

I have found this tool on many sites and offers solutions for people to have options to change the style of the website even if they are not disabled. Today everyone is looking for a personal experience and this tool can offer that to all, this is really evident when you read terminology on a website that you might not understand. The user interface has a search web option so you can find the meaning of items that you may not have understood by only being on the website.

Feature complete and very well designed ADA web accessibility and WCAG 2.1 compliance platform.

<b>What I like.

</b>The supporting material is extremely useful. The "accessWidget" is super simple and straightforward to integrate with a website of any size. Additionally, <b>the litigation support package is priceless</b>. You can be certain that accessiBe will make sure that the site is fully ADA compliant.

<b>What I don't like.

</b>Quite honestly, there is really nothing I can say that I dislike. The solution is very straightforward and simple to use. Everything is fully automated. Their support is really helpful and the documentation is concise but clear.

<b>My recommendation to others considering the product.

</b>Reach out to their support or sales staff. They will be able to help you to better understand their offering.

<b>What problems will it help you solve and the benefits you will get.</b>

Before using accessiBe we would run manual ADA accessibility audits on regular basis and mitigate any issues we found by manually adjusting the website code. After integrating the accessWidget, we just run the audit once, make all major adjustments and then let accessiBe take care of the rest.

Pros

  • Uses AI to make the content and structure of a website ADA compliant.
  • Very simple and straightforward to integrate (just drop in a JS widget).
  • Excellent UI for the disabled to adjust the website look and feel on the fly.

Cons

  • Honestly can't think of anything!

Likelihood to Recommend

Using accessiBe is a no-brainer for any website. It stands head and shoulders above all other tools that would call themselves a competitor. It can be integrated into a website by anyone that has access to the website templates or can manage content in a CMS. The tool will do everything else automatically through the API. It is unobtrusive but super simple to use for the end-user. I can't think of a scenario in which accessiBe would not be appropriate for a website.

We represent various brands whose websites promote both b2b and b2c sales and content strategies. Making sure that our sites remained compliant was second to ensuring our users are able to access our content. AccessiBe makes it possible to maintain the highest level of customer service - a metric we find to be our most valuable.

Pros

  • Maintains compliance effortlessly
  • Ensures content availability to all
  • Super easy install

Cons

  • No comments. Great experience.
  • Nothing to say, really.

accessiBe offers instant accessibility

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We wanted to make our website more accessible for all people, including those with various impairments or disabilities and began researching options. I was quoted thousands of dollars by many companies who specialise in this field to conduct an audit so we could receive recommendations that would then cost thousands to implement.

accessiBe offers an instant solution at a fraction of the cost; it was an obvious choice.

Pros

  • Accessibility

Cons

  • I can't think of any areas for improvement.

Likelihood to Recommend

If anyone is looking to improve the accessibility of their website, I strongly recommend accessiBe. Their customer service and support have been great, and they provide outstanding value for money while also helping people with disabilities to access your site.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use accessiBe as a tool to make my website more accessible. accessiBe is incredible because it provides an automated solution to making websites more accessible to users with disabilities. As a blind person myself, I'm impressed that there's a solution that can be implemented to make websites more accessible for a low cost to the business or website owner. From my experience, accessiBe does a great job at making websites accessible. It's what we call an overlay that automates alt-text etc. We also build websites for companies and we re-sell accessiBe to our clients who also have found it very useful. One aspect of accessiBe that I find impressive is if one user finds a bug, the bug can be fixed and assist several hundred thousand users. The program provides a turn-key solution for accessibility which I've been quite impressed with.

Pros

  • Automate alt text image descriptions. Makes websites more accessible to people with visual disabilities. Makes websites more accessible to people with other physical disabilities. Enhances SEO possibilities for websites by implementing alt text for all images. Very user-friendly and plug-and-play for website admins.

Cons

  • accessiBe is known as an overlay software to enhance the accessibility of websites. While it is a great solution, websites that have been coded specifically to make that site more accessible tend to be even more accessible than the accessiBe result. The issue with this is that in order to hard code a website to be accessible, the cost to the website owner is thousands of dollars initially, and then a high monthly retainer fee to maintain accessibility. accessiBe over time should work to become as good as a hard-coded solution.

Likelihood to Recommend

accessiBe is well suited to make websites that were not previously accessible to persons with disabilities. As a blind user, I can honestly say that website inaccessibility is extremely frustrating. It's like a physical space not being accessible to someone with a mobility disability. accessiBe is well suited for making websites more accessible. It is not well suited as an SEO tool, website building software, etc.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it to help us understand how we can improve accessibility. And for some of our clients, it is important to bring another company to this process to access a certain level of quality.

Pros

  • They cover a lot of different media.
  • Really quick and easy implantation.
  • The real user testing is really great.

Cons

  • Some dynamic content is not take in charge.
  • Didn't give input of the actuel webpage.

Likelihood to Recommend

We need for a client to be WCAG compliant so we implement the widget and we didn't need to change all our platforms for the requirement of a specific client. The widget can be disabled if the user didn't need it and then it's not going to add weight to the user flow.

I am the owner of a web design company. I’m not only using this plug-in for my own website but I recommend and install it for all my clients. Today ADA compliance is very important on a website and everybody should have it. There are too many lawsuits going around and this is a great way to prevent this from happening to your business.

Pros

  • Provide ADA compliance
  • Prevent lawsuits

Cons

  • Back end system

It is not only appropriate it is necessary for any business that has a website today.
