Brainstorm with Firefly

Rating: 7 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used Adobe Firefly to generate images and short form videos. The business problem is finding unique artwork, limited stock photos and copyright issues for image use in marketing material.

Pros

  • Generate first image to capture description
  • Brainstorming
  • Storytelling images and videos

Cons

  • Prompts worsen as changes in key details are incorporated into prompt engine
  • For images, illustration style doesn't stay consistent.
  • Unneccessary character details and background are added/removed, leading to more confusing prompt generation

Likelihood to Recommend

Great for image generation, but bad for video generation because of limited credits for creating videos. Subscription led to 400 credits and only 10 8 minute videos

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Adobe Firefly is primarily used for us to storyboard or visualize some ideas.

Pros

  • Generating conceptual content

Cons

  • Quality

Likelihood to Recommend

While Adobe Firefly has the potential to be helpful to the creative process, and Adobe says that its generations are commercially safe, there are still some moral and ethical issues that I have not decided upon. While I like Adobe Firefly as something to help ideate and storyboard content, I have issue with it potentially being used as a one-stop content creation tool, allowing for AI content to be pushed out more than content that someone puts more time and effort into.

An easy to use AI tool

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Adobe Firefly imaging models within Photoshop, but also as a collaborative workspace to iterate and organize ideas. In the Adobe Firefly web platform, I currently only use boards and text to image. This is mostly due to the limitations of our educational license. Hopefully soon, education licenses will have access to the other features.

Pros

  • Iterating ideas
  • High quality realistic images
  • Organizing ideas in boards

Cons

  • Open text to video features to education licenses

Likelihood to Recommend

Adobe Firefly is really helpful for those that are less confident in designing graphics. It is also really helpful for building writing skills through prompt writing. I think boards are also helpful for teams to collaborate on projects together.

Ai slop on Adobe Firefly

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have been instructed to use Adobe Firefly for graphic design uses, social media content, website design, etc.

Pros

  • It produces content quickly

Cons

  • I can easily tell everything produced is Ai
  • I think this program is an insult to creatives
  • In my opinion, it makes whatever finished project it's a part of, tacky and unprofessional

Likelihood to Recommend

I would never recommend Adobe Firefly to a colleague. I feel it is always inappropriate for creatives to be using Ai in their work. I think Adobe will lose all of its clientele eventually when Ai takes over the creative force.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It’s where I start my brainstorm session. I usually kick things off there and explore all possible ways of where this idea can go on to. <div>I sometimes run into the issue that I can not add the same image as a first and last frame for a video generation. It usually is fixed after refresh.</div>

Pros

  • Explroation
  • Variations
  • different models for different use cases

Cons

  • In my opinion, Adobe Firefly models are not very good
  • credits are expensive but that’s how it is I guess
  • .

Likelihood to Recommend

Exploration is working really well. For the final output I usually switch to other tools as the resolution is important to me. Would love to see magnific upscaling intergrated. However topaz is good too. Also video upscaling would be a game changer for me personally. I’ll try to incorparte it even more into my workflow with the updated

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Adobe Firefly for image creation. The creative team uses it to generate ideas and proof for photoshoots to photographers. This allows us to generate what we are looking for quickly and get accurate RFQs from photographers

Pros

  • Image generation
  • Quick Image variations for mockups

Cons

  • Image quality. It's not press ready yet
  • Improve text in image. If text is in the image it can be displayed odd or deformed

Likelihood to Recommend

It's a great tool for concepting but can't recommend for final asset creation quite yet. It's getting close and I'm excited for the next phase.
