Astah Professional

Astah Professional is a desktop modeling tool developed by Change Vision, Inc. It combines UML, ER diagrams, data flow diagrams, flowcharts, and mind maps in a single application. It is aimed at software architects and development teams who model across more than one notation.

Deployment
Astah Professional is an installable desktop application for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It is not a cloud or SaaS product. Models are saved as local files, so the tool works offline and users keep full ownership of their model data. A Java runtime (Eclipse Temurin) is bundled, so no separate Java installation is required.

All AI features connect to external AI services through the user's own API key, and API usage is billed separately by the AI provider. Supported services are OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and OpenAI-compatible endpoints.

Astah Professional is available as a monthly or annual subscription, a perpetual license, and floating, organizational, and academic licenses. A free trial is available.
