Business Problems Solved
Auth0, from Okta, has emerged as a versatile solution for secure identity and access management, addressing various business challenges and streamlining authentication processes. Users have successfully implemented Auth0 to enable easy sign-in to work user interfaces, simplifying the login experience and ensuring hassle-free access through features like Auth0 Guardian's button presses or manual code entry. Additionally, Auth0's extensive customization options have allowed users to seamlessly manage user data and integrate with different business directories, facilitating single sign-on across multiple applications. This powerful customization capability has not only enhanced the user experience but also made it easier for businesses to adhere to industry standards and best practices for authentication.
We are using Auth0 for user authentication. It mainly helps in managing login and safe access across all platforms. It has made our authentication much much easier to manage and doesnt required much deep security expertise.

Auth0 is a platform for managing authorization and authentication in an organization. In my organization, we use Auth0 to integrate with our internal and external applications with OAuth 2.0 and SAML to ensure security. This OAuth 0.0.1 enables SSO for users accessing applications integrated with the Auth0.
Pros
Authentication
Authorization
Security
Administration
Compliance
Cons
RBAC is limited and it needs improvement.
Monitoring needs to be improved.
Legacy application integration should have been supported.
Likelihood to Recommend
In my scenario, I need to provide a particular level of access to a set of users. Instead of providing access to each and every one, I can assign everyone to a single group and provide the role and resource access to the entire group, which is controlled at the RBAC level using the Auth0 platform. It is easy to maintain the group's permission we are assigning.

We have used Auth0 before as our authentication and identity management system for our platform. The main problem it solves for us is secure authentication without having to build everything from scratch. We handle sensitive user data, so security is very important. Auth0 provides secure login, password management, email verification, and multi-factor authentication.
Pros
Security and Compliance
Easy Integration
Customizable Login Experience
Cons
Pricing predictability as you scale
Dashboard/console UX can feel overwhelming
Support experience can vary by plan and urgency
Likelihood to Recommend
Auth0 is strong for teams that want fast, secure auth with good defaults (MFA, social login, solid SDKs) and don’t want to maintain identity infrastructure.
For us, it became less appropriate as we scaled because the pricing becomes harder to forecast with MAU growth, and we wanted more predictable costs. We also ran into operational friction around rate limits during bursts (login/refresh or automation), and some platform limits made our role/permission model harder to manage long-term.
I used Auth0 as a primary IDP for our Kong API Gateway and it solved these business problems - 1. It centralised the access system and removed the need of having a on Prem Directory. 2. It helped us in using Auth0 effectively and efficiently by allowing us to use its API's. 3. Its Auth0 actions helped us in scripting and extract the exact output we wanted.
Pros
It works exceptionally well in providing the RBAC also known as Role Based Access Control.
Its APIs works flawlessly and are so easy to integrate.
Its Actions features is a really great add on to extract the best of it.
Cons
Its UI can be improved and made something like Okta.
It should support more languages in Auth0 actions.
Likelihood to Recommend
It's really well suited when we have environment of multiple tools and applications and we want to have a centralised Access centre instead of having one made by us and apart from that it's really helpful for me when I wanted to implement Auth0 2.0 in Kong API gateway.
Auth0 is an extremely useful one-stop access management platform for preventing unauthorized use of our company assets and tools. It supports notification-based login and passkey to log in to all tools in one go, without requiring a password, improving the user experience.
Pros
Used to secure login for multiple tools.
Reduce intrusion from unauthorized login attempts.
Improved user interface and passkey-based login reduce steps and the need to remember passwords.
Cons
We use to authenticate access to tools.
Improved and simplified interface makes new users comfortable.
Easy to integrate multiple tools and use Aut0 for login the tools.
Likelihood to Recommend
If an unauthorized user is trying to install a business application on a personal device, the administrator can monitor such activity and reduce future security breaches.
We have several AI agents we utilize across our organization. Because we are in the financial industry, we have strict security protocols and Auth0 allows us to effectively and robustly secure the agents. In addition to this, we utilize Auth0 for authentication on many of our logins to secure areas of the site.
Pros
Easily integrates with other apps using Javascript (or Android/Swift for mobile)
Support is top-notch and responds quickly (and provides thorough responses)
The platform is very developer-friendly, with multiple toolkits and different authentication methodologies
Cons
Price jumps are frequent after being on the platform for just a little while
Customization ability is limited; it is not that the platform does not allow it. It is just very difficult to implement the platform in ways that is not 'out of the box.'
There are frequent updates, which often require workflow tweaks and additional work
Likelihood to Recommend
Auth0 excels in very large organizations where there is a need to consolidate authentication management among different operating groups. Additionally, organizations that need a solution that integrates well with existing infrastructure will be very happy with Auth0. And finally, the platform's many SDKs make development straightforward for teams that need a starting place.

We use Auth0 to handle secure user authentication for our applications. It helps manage logins, role-based access, SSO, and MFA without heavy custom development. Auth0 simplifies identity management, improves security, and allows our team to focus more on building core product features instead of maintaining auth systems.
Pros
Secure authentication out of the box, including MFA, SSO, and social logins, without needing heavy custom development.
Easy integration with web and mobile apps using clear documentation and SDKs, which speeds up implementation.
Strong user management and role-based access control, making it simple to manage permissions as the product scales.
Cons
The dashboard and settings can feel complex at first, especially for non-technical users, and could be more intuitive.
Pricing and usage limits are not always easy to understand, especially as usage scales across environments.
Debugging authentication issues can take time, and clearer error messages or guided troubleshooting would help.
Likelihood to Recommend
Auth0 works very well for secure logins, SSO, and access control. It’s reliable and saves a lot of development time. Setup can be a bit complex and pricing feels high for small use cases, but overall it’s a solid and secure solution.
We use Auth0 as a centralized IAM for authentication and authorization across multi-tenant, customer-facing, and for internal applications.
As it provides SSO using OIDC/SAML, it enforces MFA, RBAC, and conditional access. Also, it integrates easily with customer IdPs. Ans also helps to manage user lifecycle and tokens. As it provides high availability, scalability, and compliance so we use it globally to secure applications for multiple customers with minimal operational overhead.
Pros
Easy integration with apps using OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SAML
Risk-based policies using IP, device, and geo signals
Seamless integration with Azure AD, Okta, Google, and LDAP
API access control without custom auth code
Detailed authentication logs and events, and also integration with SIEM tool
Cons
Setting roles and permissions for many customers is tricky for new users
Custom login rules can be confusing to manage for the operational team
It provided limited analytics, so it's hard to see and find login trends or unusual activity.
Likelihood to Recommend
Well Suited: Secure access with MFA and token management. Supports audit logs and secure authentication for regulated data in multi-customer environments. Easy integration with OIDC, OAuth, or SAML. Less suited: Cloud based authentication fails for low bandwidth network. Cloud dependency may be an issue for some strict on-prem projects.
The initial setup process of Auth0 was satisfactory with no errors. Auth0 has simplified the process of login and registration by assimiliating backoffice processes. It manages the security codes as well. Auth0 has replaced the traditional login interface with its new passwordless and OTP based single codes which enables access anywhere securely.
Pros
Login and registration has become simple
No need to enter passwords again and again.
Cons
Some softwares need extra authorisation which makes the experience unpleasant.
Likelihood to Recommend
Auth0 offers access management services and helps define authorization roles which sets different permission levels for different users. Auth0 has successfully enabled single sign on services throughout the organization on muliple applications simultaneously.
