Pros

  • Extensive template library for diverse design options
  • Robust integration capabilities with third-party tools
  • User-friendly interface for rapid content creation

Cons

  • Ambiguity in AI feature usage and transparency
  • Limited advanced editing capabilities for granular control
  • Potential for an overwhelming array of tools and plugins

Great for working with a large team

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have a lot of employees that we need to be able to access brand kits, photo assets, and design templates without having to build anything from scratch. Canva Enterprise helps us keep things straight and allowed us to implement a built-in approvals system, that allows our branding managers and designers to give notes or feedback on projects before they move on.

Pros

  • Real-time collaboration
  • Integration with existing systems/programs
  • Brand/asset management

Cons

  • At times, the range of plug-ins that Canva has access to is almost overwhelming. I wish you could suggest what you need and allow it to walk you through how to use certain tools.
  • For a beginner, I almost wish you could toggle on/off certain tools. Many of our team need very basic access to edit and collaborate on projects, with no need to move or adjust certain elements.
  • Certain tools or functions in Canva present as "AI content" on social media platforms. I wish it were clear when you are utilizing a tool that uses assistive AI, as that label is a concern for my organization.

Return on Investment

  • Our designers spend less time building flyers and postcards because people are equipped with tools and guardrails to start themselves.
  • The internal approvals system ensures that designers are not sifting through email, Teams, etc to make sure they've seen everything they're requested feedback on.
  • Streamlines the process of creating/editing branded material.

Usability

Great All-in-One Project Billing Dashboard

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am using Canva to design my lectures over it and present them. It includes a lot of features and a way to interact with students live by let them join the lecture session live and vote. I like how it provides a lot of videos and photos in one space without the need for any external research.

Pros

  • 3rd Party Integrations
  • Everything in one space. A lot of templates to choose from.
  • Their AI writing assistant is super helpful.

Cons

  • AI for editing images is disappointed. Not working, and not functioning.
  • I would love to customize the borders of the images individually to make for example the right one is 30 angle and the left one is 20 and etc.
  • Their pricing models is super heavy.

Return on Investment

  • Cost savings (design spend)
  • Using Brand Kit/templates made our external materials look more consistent
  • Template-driven designs can look generic unless you enforce brand rules.
