Meraki MV is Great

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We mainly use Cisco MV for security purposes. We have them around the perimeter of the building and in certain spaces where activities should be monitored. They are easy to set up and install, and they just work. Everything is available on the intuitive Meraki Portal. You can do pretty much anything you need, create video walls, download recording, etc. They work extremely well for us.

Pros

  • Ease of use
  • Easy to set up and install
  • Full featured monitoring

Cons

  • The licensing model is a bit onerous, if you don't have a license for one camera, the whole thing shuts down.

Return on Investment

  • Meraki MV cameras have helped us secure our perimeter ourselves rather than spending thousands of dollars for an outside company.
