What is Cleverence Inventory?

Cleverence Inventory is a standalone warehouse management system (WMS) for small and mid-sized businesses that track stock on paper or in spreadsheets. Warehouse staff scan barcodes on Android handhelds, rugged scanners or ordinary Android phones, and the office sees stock by item, location, lot and serial number in a web app. No ERP is required: items, stock, locations and documents live in Cleverence Inventory, and the item list can be imported from Excel.

Guided warehouse operations

  • Receiving against orders, then putaway to storage locations
  • Order picking and shipping, where an item that is not on the order is flagged before it is added
  • Transfers between bins and warehouses
  • Stock taking with handhelds: completing a count sets on-hand stock to the counted quantity
  • Write-offs and stock adjustments

Validation and traceability

Every scan is checked against the document, so a wrong item or quantity is caught on the floor rather than at month end. Completed documents update stock at once and stay in the movement history. A journal records what happened, when and on which device, and an issues page lists any operation that did not go through, with the reason.

Tracking and labels

  • Batch/lot, expiry date and serial number tracking
  • Bin location management across multiple warehouses
  • Item and package label printing from editable templates
  • 1D/2D barcode scanning; devices are paired by QR code
  • Excel/CSV import of items and export of documents

Deployment and licensing

Cleverence Inventory runs in the Cleverence cloud or on the customer's own servers. It is licensed per device rather than per user, with Basic, Advanced and Enterprise plans and a free trial. Several workers can scan at the same time, with roles and user groups that limit which documents each person works on. Businesses that already use QuickBooks, Odoo, Shopify, SAP or another ERP can have it connected by the Cleverence team so completed documents arrive without re-typing.

Example

APMG, a spare-parts distributor, runs a warehouse of about 100,000 SKUs in Dubai on Cleverence Inventory.

Cleverence has developed mobile barcode and Auto-ID software for more than 20 years; its products are used by about 15,000 companies in 30+ countries.
