Too slow

Rating: 2 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am an online math tutor. All I need from the whiteboard is the ability to share PDF documents with math problems and the student's ability to work with me, i.e., write/draw some simple shapes and numbers. Pretty simple, right?

We both have to wait 3-5 minutes before the board loading. And yes, I do use paid option. Next, it constantly freezes when I try to delete some documents. Usually, it is a 20-30 pages PDF file with some additional pictures. Sometimes it takes me up to 20 minutes to select and delete some pages. And there is no button to clean the board completely. So I either have to choose each page separately and delete it, or try to do it in a bunch and wait for who knows how long.

I registered on this site and wrote this review and the board is still frozen

Pros

  • free unlimited trial
  • simple interface

Cons

  • Increase the responding speed
  • Make a button for "clear the board"

A successful tool for small and changing groups

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are a small workshop collective working within the university. We provide professional workshop training to architecture students. We have been working with the Miro application for a long time and now we are looking for an alternative solution. Our goal is to ensure rapid cooperation and interaction, and to provide an environment where our students can interact comfortably without getting bored.

Pros

  • Pretty simple interface
  • A simple and successful video tutorial
  • Successful navigation features
  • A non-stop free hand drawing tool

Cons

  • The sticky note tool glitches and behaves as if it were moving on a grid.
  • PDF upload tool does not work fast. Maybe a PDF merge algorithm could be added.
  • The selection area is not visible when dragging the eraser tool.

Likelihood to Recommend

Despite its lack of features, it is a very stable tool. It has a nice UI/UX design. Therefore, it can be a good tool for basic level workers to run their jobs. Educating students about interfaces can take time as our focus shifts to undergraduates and regular students. For this reason, Conceptboard's very simple interface and short tutorial video are very useful. However, it may not be suitable for large projects as the slow operation of the upload tools stands out as a missing feature.

Pros

  • Real-time collaboration
  • Share with external stakeholders

Cons

  • takes forever for the board to load - once loaded, working in it is so slow.
  • all font sizes remain same - smart aligning and is not great at all

Likelihood to Recommend

Multiple users from the team can work together, Commenting and stickies are useful, Like the integrated icons feature. That it is so simple that every discipline can use it. That there is already a prepared template. The building blocks and templates are great. By using sections it is very easy to give every break-out room their own board to work on. Quick helpdesk.

Pros

  • direct and fast service support
  • Easy compatibility with many other external companies
  • I can easily prepare a presentation and work on questions together between the information.

Cons

  • The client interface is less flashy and could use some updating.

Likelihood to Recommend

This is a participatory instrument that enables team meetings and helps teams conduct meetings in a positive way during a pandemic. It also helped me share data with my team faster. And it's much easier to use and cheaper. Real-time changes are shown when someone makes a comment. The best part of working from home as we can collaborate as if we were in the same office

User-friendly software for illustrations

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It is very easy to use and especially during the online meetings and in-house discussion it resolves our problems and allows us to use this software instead of physical boards. Also very useful to generate PDF after using it. It is having almost the annotation symbols which we require during meetings.

Pros

  • Draws annotations.
  • Allows the whole team to work together.
  • Upload existing document and work on it by adding annotations.

Cons

  • To add more integration points like to save the document in well-known content management systems.
  • Add more annotations especially to handle security-related projects.
  • I believe the rest of the features are fulfilling the requirements.

Likelihood to Recommend

It was well suited during the online discussions, in-house meetings, teams collaborations really made it easy for all of us to work on the same project and annotate and design the technical diagrams. We mainly used it with customer meetings where we easily illustrated the diagrams and represent them to the customer and other stakeholders.

Transformation of boring team discussions

Rating: 7 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Conceptboard helped in bringing the entire organization on one single platform. It's audio/ visual call feature allowed us to stay on the same page and we can even determine who has made what changes which allowed us to figure out any change in plans. The good thing about the entire platform was it allowed us stay visually connected with each other with best of technology and also provided the best visual experience as a whole. The major problems with any other platform was we were not getting clear insights of the changes made by one team members as multiple teams and team members were involved, with this platform most of our issues were resolved on a single go. We can use it even more in the upcoming days with increased number of people.

Pros

  • We can determine the exact person in the team if he or she has made any changes in a particular board which helps everyone to be on the same page.
  • Storytelling was made easy. Now we don't need to go on multiple platforms like google meet, online spreadsheet etc. in order to make certain document
  • Audio / visual calling feature is amazing. You just need a reliable internet connection.
  • Eliminating manual errors through digital scrum
  • Ease of collaboration between different team

Cons

  • Physical touch is missing for remote teams
  • Gives no idea about the past implementation of a certain project/ process
  • Expensive as compared to other service providers

Likelihood to Recommend

It is best suited for Mid size companies or startups who are into design thinking and related fields.

This tool on a whole can get bit expensive for large organizations as they require multiple features under one single package.

Great tool to foster brainstorming for project development

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It's a nice tool to start a new project (I use it in software development but it can apply to all areas). We can do all the brainstorming in a collaborative way. All team members can participate, including the customers. We can combine diagrams, kanban cards, build timelines and to-do lists together as well as attach files to the workspace and have a central database to discuss and review ideas.

Pros

  • Create boards with unlimited canvas
  • Add diagrams, building blocks, icons
  • Embed videos and audios, attach files
  • Version control

Cons

  • When you leave the tab for a while, it seems it gets stuck, and we need to F5 the whole page
  • There are enough shapes to start a draw, but the variety of shapes could be improved

Likelihood to Recommend

If you want to document a project in a formal way, maybe that's not the case for using Conceptboard. I see this tool as a great help for starting a project, especially when you need to draw the ideas with the customers. Also, this helps to remap the processes with the developers, and discuss technical aspects of the projects by drawing technical diagrams that help to bring clarity on how the project is going to be developed.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Conceptboard is a very easy tool to use for collaboration. It is clean visually with simple controls that most people are able to use. You can have multiple workspaces and almost unlimited space to brainstorm and share ideas with team members. Former software has flaws; Conceptboard is simple to navigate and work with.

Pros

  • Easy navigation.
  • Aesthetically pleasing.
  • Efficient.

Cons

  • More customizing features.
  • Interface integration.
  • Minor updating issues.

Likelihood to Recommend

Anytime where ideas are being shared, you need a workspace to put those ideas into action. If you want easy-to-use software that allows for unlimited collaboration with others, Conceptboard is what you are looking for. For smaller teams or those who won't utilize the software very often, this is not necessary.

Must buy software for team productivity and collaboration online!

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Conceptboard is cheaper than Stormboard. Also, the user interface and reactiveness is slightly better than other team collaboration tools.

Pros

  • Team collaboration Board is dynamic
  • Calling options available
  • User interface feels and looks good.

Cons

  • Embedded media should have more options for customizing
  • Integration options are less
  • Uploaded graphics get unaligned

Likelihood to Recommend

Conceptboard has better UI. Also, the user interface design and reactiveness are much better than other team collaboration tools. On top of that, it also offers calling options for both audio, video, and screen sharing as well. In comparison, other collaboration tools lack these calling features and sharing options. But Stormboard was better in terms of graphics and pictures uploaded to it in my opinion.
