We use the credit reporting from D&B Finance Analytics for companies wanting terms or we search our mills to make sure that there isn't any issues when placing huge orders.

Validate information, sometimes it isn't correct
Alerts, Its hard to set them up
Multiple attempts we have to do when reaching out to our point of contact with D&B

We use D&B Finance Analytics for assessing customer creditworthiness when they apply for terms and granting increases. It also helps us confirm ownership. In our industry, we often see companies being bought/sold and D&B Finance Analytics helps us stay ahead of that. Ongoing, we also use D&B Finance Analytics to monitor customer credit granted by us.

D&B Finance Analytics is well-suited for our general operations, but as cost increases, the overall value to us decreases, especially when compared to other options. Our risk assessment for customers does not 100% rely on D&B Finance Analytics because an entire pay history may not be there because there is limited information being reported that make it to the report.

D&B is used to research potential customer's financial status as well as to track current customer's financial status. The platform helps us to stay current with any credit history events. We use this information to build and maintain credit limits for our customers. We use this application on a daily basis.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use to perform due diligence on customers and vendors to determine legitimacy, fraud, scope, scale, and credit metrics. We also use it to monitor our customers and track for alerts. We do not use it for any sales contacting or reaching out, just portfolio monitoring and management. We have been using it for several years.

Alerts - The UI needs improvement, along with the functionality.
UI for monitoring.
The breakdown of subscription information is confusing.

It's good for our vendor and customer due diligence, but mediocre with alerts. The risk scoring and paydex trade information is always helpful, but not always applicable for term debt lenders. But the monitoring of customers has helped over the years to determine any judgments, suits, or bankruptcies that have come up.

D&B Finance Analytics help analyze the risk of a company for us to determine how much of a credit we can give the company. It has helped reduce bad debt and riskier clients are not able to put in as much orders as non-volatile customers. The analytics give us a better understanding of how at risk a company may be.

D&B is less needed for smaller accounts and needed more for big orders and accounts that use the devices more frequently.

I use D&B Finance Analytics for a non-biased general credit report. I really like the different metrics and ratings that it has. Finance Analytics gives me the best and most customer info available. Their database is robust and covers all industries. It is my "GO TO" report for all customers.

We use D&B for credit checks on our new customers. We have been able to turn our cash account and credit application into online forms that run through D&B.

Line of Credit history can sometimes be lacking.

When doing a credit background check, they are very good at having data for larger customers. When we get to the smaller customers, the data can be lacking at times.
