Overall Satisfaction with D&B Finance Analytics

We use to perform due diligence on customers and vendors to determine legitimacy, fraud, scope, scale, and credit metrics. We also use it to monitor our customers and track for alerts. We do not use it for any sales contacting or reaching out, just portfolio monitoring and management. We have been using it for several years.

Pros

  • Trade metrics.
  • Due Diligence.
  • Risk Scoring.

Cons

  • Alerts - The UI needs improvement, along with the functionality.
  • UI for monitoring.
  • The breakdown of subscription information is confusing.
  • Helped us determine how much we want to extend in credit to vendors and customers alike.
  • Be aware of judgments and bankruptcies in a somewhat timely fashion.
  • Helped us understand how entities pay their suppliers.
We have used CLEAR, LexisNexis, Paynet (Equifax), and Zoom info. I would say D&B is compatible with LexisNexis, but less competitive with CLEAR and Paynet (Equifax). Paynet (Equifax) is much more applicable as it provides credit history on term debt, which is the area we provide financing for in our industry.
Very slow. Their AP is quite abysmal to work with, and it took several months to reconcile historical data. And it was determined in that analysis that they had a significant amount in overpayments from the years of business together and had been holding on to it, even though we were a good-paying customer.

Do you think D&B Finance Analytics delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with D&B Finance Analytics's feature set?

No

Did D&B Finance Analytics live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of D&B Finance Analytics go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy D&B Finance Analytics again?

No

It's good for our vendor and customer due diligence, but mediocre with alerts. The risk scoring and paydex trade information is always helpful, but not always applicable for term debt lenders. But the monitoring of customers has helped over the years to determine any judgments, suits, or bankruptcies that have come up.
