Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Great for load balancing, traffic management, securing, and protecting cloud apps. It is a scalable and flexible platform with multiple features to support complex hybrid and multi-cloud environments. BIG-IP Cloud App Stack is slightly on the expensive side, but worth the cost given its WAF and DDoS protection and its integration with DevOps workflows.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have been tasked with using F5 Distributed Cloud App Stack in many ways. One of those is with load balancing our different apps. Currently we have times when one function or feature does not work in an app and with F5 it is easy to solve for. We also now can use the F5 health checks to ensure everything is working properly.

Cons

  • The UI is hard to learn
  • The use of acronyms is heavy and hard to know without previous experience
