Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use it to mark documents before I flatten them to make sure they are not used for construction if I have not finalized them. I also use it to mark the documents for review because lots of times they get mixed up and get in the wrong hands. I will also pit my signature on there so people know who creates and flattened the document.

Pros

  • It is very easy to improve signatures and stamps.
  • It is easy to apply signatures.
  • You can store multiple signatures and stamps.

Cons

  • It is hard to create stamps to look exactly how you need them in Foxit. It is easier to make them elsewhere and import.

Return on Investment

  • It doesn't have any negative impacts on our business.
  • The positive side is that it is easy to use and user friendly to apply stamps and signatures.

Pros

  • Configuration and design of online document templates. eSign Genie provided the easiest to use interface with the most flexibility of all the vendors we compared.
  • Programmability and automation of document templates. This was essential for our studies which relied on minimal interaction during the enrollment process.
  • Tech support and online documentation. Most of our issues could be handled by consulting the online documentation. When this was not the case, support representatives were happy to help us resolve technical issues.

Cons

  • Search interface for documents. I would like to see a more robust interface that allows searching on multiple criteria include the ip address from which a document was signed. Currently, documents can be filtered using a single value such as a name.
  • Webhook management. Webhook calls are logged and the logs are only avaluable for 30 days. Our study ended up being active for more than 30 days and I lost the ability to go back to the beginning of the study to review webhook transactions.
  • 2 Factor Authentication. This could be more robust. Users complained of not receiving codes via email and codes not working. We were unable to resolve the issue for some individuals who ended up not participating in our studies.

Return on Investment

  • eSign Genie was the most affordable option of all vendors which helped us to stay within our project budget.
  • We were able to purchase a relatively small number of document folders which was more appropriate to our needs than say DocuSign which required something like 1,000 documents minimum.
  • The ease of use of eSign Genie helps us to implement new research studies without having to expend a lot of person hours to set things up.

  • eSign Genie has a great Dashboard with everything you need on one screen.
  • The learning curve was extremely low.
  • It allows for customizations including putting your logo on documents.

Cons

  • It would be great if I could add eSign Genie as an add-on for applications in Google and Microsoft 365.

  • We use the e-signature and date signed boxes the most!!
  • Saved and customizable templates are essential for efficiency.
  • We need the reminders to keep us on top of our clients to ensure we are timely in submitting applications to our insurance carriers.
