Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Getresponse (GR) for (A) email marketing via autoresponders and broadcast emails (B) landing page development for some campaigns. The system has proven excellent on both fronts - especially noting the high delivery rates of emails. Furthermore, their 24*7 chat support is a definite plus for businesses since most of the queries get resolved quickly

Pros

  • Autoresponders
  • Broadcast emails
  • Email marketing automation
  • List management (including list quality)

Cons

  • GetResponse forms yet do not integrate very well with platforms likes studiopress
  • "content locker" is still not available

Likelihood to Recommend

1. Ease of use that is superbly complemented by a 24*7, co-operative support team 2. Intuitive user interface that makes it very easy for anyone to pick up and gain proficiency 3. compliance with the very best practices in the email marketing niche' (4) the landing page builder too, is very easy to use and will suffice for initial campaigns (Saving associated costs)

Stand out in the templates to send original e-mails

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use GetResponse to achieve the necessary reach to achieve accurate, independent automation with emails and landing pages. At the same time, I love that the software is essential to create segmented lists; this has helped us to have great control and visual determination for convenience.

Pros

  • I like that it offers very original templates and that I can play with the theme of the particular campaign.
  • I can get a quantified and detailed report of the processes I am working on.
  • The statistics system it has is very detailed and accurate.
  • The interface is elegant and extremely easy to use.

Cons

  • I have no complaints about GetResponse; I can do everything quickly, productively, and efficiently.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is ideal for those responsible for maintaining an overall increase in revenue system and customer engagement. They should take advantage of its existence. It is handy for creating campaigns.

If you want email responses then GetResponse!

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

GetResponse is used by our marketing/SEO department. We use GetResponse for our own business as well as recommending it for clients. We really do not think that GetResponse gets the love it deserves. It can manage funnels, has great automation for email campaigns and it is priced well. It is a solid, feature-rich email marketing platform and it is well worth a look if you considering a new email marketing platform.

Pros

  • The visual campaign builder is excellent in GetResponse. It makes building out even very complex campaigns quite easy. We believe it is one of the best on the market. It has everything that you would expect to see in a high level email platform. This is the core of GetResponse and it does it quite well.
  • The Funnel Builder, which is a feature released last year, is also an excellent tool. You can create a good customer journey with the GetResponse funnel builder. It's great for lead magnets, list building, etc. but it also has enough features that can be used to lead a customer all the way to the checkout.
  • The updated email builder is also great. This was an area that needed some attention and it got it. The revised builder allows for content-rich emails that are up to today's best practices.

Cons

  • One area that we have found that could be more robust is the API. We had a situation where we were using Easy Digital Downloads and had moved from a different platform to GetResponse. We ended up having to hack the API a bit to get the functions we needed. It was not a major issue but it could have been avoided with a more robust API.
  • The other area where GetResponse could be stronger is in the products that it integrates with. They have been working to grow the list but we feel there is still some work needed in this area. Beyond these two areas, we have no complaints.

Likelihood to Recommend

GetResponse is perfect for small to medium businesses. For a large business, it certainly could be used in some areas. One example would be for clients that are looking to get started with email marketing. I would not expect it to run a business as Salesforce or Keep. However, GetResponse is robust enough and has a solid suite of tools that would serve a medium or small business quite well. And of course, if a company is just looking for an email marketing solution GetResponse would be ideal. And to go even further, depending on the level of service you use, GetResponse has the potential to do things you might have been using separate tools for. Building funnels, the ability to host webinars, building landing pages. It's all there and it is priced very well.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I truly enjoy using GetReponse. I love the new data dashboard that was recently implemented and it is also a very good tool for list building when preparing emails. I love how easy it is to upload HTML and make changes. However, when there is an issue with the uploaded HTML, GetResponse does not highlight changes that need to be made within the HTML. I think that there are both positives and negatives to GetResponse but overall, I have had a great experience and would recommend it going forward.

Pros

  • List building.
  • New statistic dashboard.

Cons

  • Making sure stats are accurate on the email send list dashboard.
  • Customizable reports.

Likelihood to Recommend

GetResponse is great for list building within your audience and also for sending emails at the perfect time. GetResponse is fairly user-friendly and does not take long to learn. Their website also is a great resource for learning other features of the tool and it is definitely worth checking out.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used GetResponse as an email marketing platform for about 6 months. It addressed our need for an email automation service. The main issue with the platform was ease of use for our clients.

Pros

  • GetResponse answered our need for email automation.
  • Drag and drop email creation was simple to use.

Cons

  • Pricing.
  • Management of multiple accounts.
  • Drag and drop email creator had some limitations.

Likelihood to Recommend

GetResponse wasn't as cost-effective as other email marketing solutions and our clients didn't find the email creating and editing features easy to use.

Lists rejected, account deactivated, no refund possible

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our marketing department uses GetResponse to send welcome emails to new customers and let them know about current discounts, deals or offers as well as what is going on with our company. We also send marketing emails to prospects that we meet at shows, events, and through other marketing endeavors that sign up for us.

Pros

  • The automation tool is visually appealing and nice when it works.
  • Stats are helpful.
  • None of it matters if emails won't even send to your lists that won't import.

Cons

  • Lists are rejected on baseless grounds.
  • They recommend a service to clean lists and even after being cleaned, emails and lists are rejected.
  • They purged 80% of our email list because they were not interacting regularly enough with our emails.
  • Their drag and drop editor is set up poorly, if you have similar look and feel emails there is no way to know which you are in.
  • Often email templates do not save and you have to start over.
  • Sometimes scheduled emails don't even send.

Likelihood to Recommend

We signed with GetResponse at the beginning of the year for a full year, looking for something more robust than what we were previously using. I enjoyed the layout of their autoresponders, and after playing around in the free version, we decided it could be a good fit for us. Signed in January and experienced some problems off the bat (but I'm patient and I understand launching takes some time... no problems). We imported all of our contacts -- several thousand -- and our lists were rejected. Strange, as these were legitimate contacts from company sources that I had been emailing for years successfully. I imported them in smaller chunks and found more success, until we were told in February that our account was under review for spam behavior. To resolve, we allowed them to 'clean' our lists -- legitimately cut from 15k to 6k, and began to use their recommended BriteVerify to clean our lists before adding in the future. Frustrating, time consuming, not ideal... but we had already paid for the year and didn't have the budget to change email services. Their drag and drop editor gave us a lot of grief most days, but besides that we didn't have any more rejected lists, and no issues I was aware of until this morning, I received an email letting us know our account has been deactivated, we cannot get our email lists or templates back from our accounts, cannot log in, and a refund will not be issued. To say we are frustrated is an extreme understatement. I've seen their awards, success stories, top 10 email service provider mentions... The truth is that they are unwilling to work with customers who are unhappy and provide no legitimate warnings before terminating services. Now we are stuck without an email service provider (that we paid for through December) in the middle of several Marketing campaigns, and with a limited budget to find someone else for the remainder of the year.

Solid Email Marketing Software

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used Get Response for years, primarily for marketing (email) campaigns. I thought it was very affordable and useful solution, especially if you couldn't code. The reporting tools - specifically measuring metrics were easy to use as well. Designing templates were drag and drop although the ready-made templates were clunky or out-dated.

Pros

  • Affordable: $25.00 a month for a contact base of under 2,000.
  • Easy-to-use: drag-drop tools to design email templates.
  • Metrics: reporting available on all sorts of metrics.

Cons

  • No video: you can't embed videos into your email. This was the primary reason why I switched to MailChimp.
  • Design: email templates were outdated or looked clunky.
  • Customer Service: hard to access.

Likelihood to Recommend

Choosing email marketing software is a personal choice: it's a matter of what clicks with you technically and aesthetically. If you don't need or want to embed video into your email campaigns, then GetResponse is as good of a provider as any. It's affordable, easy to use and the online tutorials are great.

  • Free, full-featured 30-day trial
  • Google Analytics Integration
  • SalesForce Integration
  • Option to Free Accounts
  • No Message Limits
  • Good Value for Money

Cons

Likelihood to Recommend

GetResponse is best if you are running a small business. If you are a serious blogger, GetResponse could be a great companion for you. The dashboard is easy to read. The drag and drop features are straightforward. Even if you are new to email marketing tools, you can still use GetResponse like a professional.

One thing to note is that the customer support will take 2 or 3 days to get responses back to your queries and complaints.

A smart investment in marketing automation for small companies

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use GetResponse to market my freelance business with email, optin forms and landing pages. I'm very fond of the interface and like how they offer templates and tools that help accelerate the process.

Pros

  • Email creation—A simple interface and a variety of tools make it easy to create very attractive emails quickly.
  • List building—GetResponse is ideal for setting-up and using any number of segmented lists/
  • Forms and landing pages—These tools are also fairly strong, however, GetResponse (ironically) does not provide responsive forms for mobile, which I would think would be an urgent problem. They have so far not addressed it.
  • Customer support—Customer support via chat and email is strong. It's disappointing the company has pulled the plug on live phone-in support.

Cons

  • Need responsive forms
  • A/B testing is strong, but the analytics are slow and confusing

Likelihood to Recommend

GetResponse is good for marketing automation newbies that want a powerful platform without a steep learning curve. It appears to have a strong set of tools for creating automated sequences, but it's not your solution for large enterprise usage. Also, seeing as how competitive the market's become, while it's not expensive per se, it is a bit on the pricey side relative to some.
