Scope of my use cases. I create gems within Gemini to augment a lot of my mundane administrative tasks.
Pros
Very responsive
Flexible
Adjusts to my parameters
Cons
It's too rigid
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for strategy type roles where you need factual information. Less appropriate is if you're trying to be creative, it doesn't produce creative outputs.
As a non native English speaker, I use Gemini on a daily basis, I use it to review my communication with customers to ensure grammar and relevance, I use it to rephrase communication with customers to make sure our responses remain relevant but also don't tire our customers with the same responses over and over, I also use it to guide my communication with leadership and I even bounce the an idea on it to help me ground it, as often I think of improvements we could have on our tooling but I ask Gemini to scope it and check for availability before running it with the Eng team.
Pros
rephrasing comms
interpreting results
correcting SQL queries
coaching on ideas
Cons
I would like it to put together similar topics of questions I've asked so it can learn them separatedly
Likelihood to Recommend
Gemini is well suited to help in customer service, to create summaries of emails sent by customers, generating possible responses to them, rephrasing communications, help create and then correct SQL queries, interpreting responses, it's not so good if you need to help with a sensitive topic due to it taking personally identifying information

Google Gemini is heavily utilized by us for technical research, building proof-of-concepts, coding assistance, product development, and market research. Google's Gemini AI tool helps us accelerate software development by generating code snippets, verifying code logic, and creating technical documentation. We utilize deep research for more detailed analysis and findings to generate comprehensive, thorough results. We have recently used it for Cost-Benefit Analysis, such as selecting a vendor and the right type of certificate for buying bulk SSL certificates.
Pros
Deep Research for Market and Product Research.
Code Generation and Technical Documentation.
Provides reliable up-to-date information for a wide range of purposes.
Cons
Room for Improvement in Speed and Accuracy.
Should deliver a better experience for Microsoft software development.
Windows Desktop App is Missing.
Likelihood to Recommend
Google Gemini AI features a Deep Research feature that helped us conduct thorough product research. We wanted to minimize the costs incurred by using SSL certificates in our organization, but we lacked knowledge on the subject. Google Gemini Deep Research did a thorough analysis and suggested ways to cut costs by switching vendors and using DV-type and/or wildcard SSL certificates. We also use Google Gemini for assistance during software development. However, Google Gemini seems to have limitations when suggesting code snippets for the Microsoft ecosystem.
I use it for predominantly content creation, copywriting, and for general brainstorming. As a team of one, it can be hard to come up with all your own ideas - which is where Gemini comes in for me. It makes me feel slightly less lonely and helps me bounce ideas with myself.
Pros
Planning
Prompting and remembering conversations
Explaining itself
Ease of use
Excellent free plan
Cons
Image generation can be buggy
Video creation is locked behind logging in
Likelihood to Recommend
Best suited for anyone who writes or produces any creative, especially if you're a team of 1 (like me)! It is also wonderful for day to day scenarios such as calculations or interpreting photo content to come to analyses. However, I most commonly use it at my job to help me ideate & brainstorm social captions, website calendar events, website page copy, and more.
I use Google Gemini for its three robust capabilities namely, Deep research, Guided Learning and 2.5 flash Chatbot for general business research.
As far as scope is concerned, I use the tool for building my first draft of a research projects through its Deep Research capabilities, use its Canvas feature to build structural research and newsletters documents, and use its guided learning feature to ask building automation framework related queries on tools like MS Power Automate or n8n etc for solving automation problem. Additionally, I use its general purpose chatbot 2.5 flash to understand industry terminologies while working on various industry research projects.
Regarding business problems, Gemini helps me speed-up my consulting reports (research work, error free pre-made reports) and dashboard building work and reduce the turnaround time to nearly half leading more time for me to work on strategic advisory to clients.
Pros
Deep research for getting first business research draft from Gemini, post which i use series of prompts to improve it and use my understanding to refine it further
Canvas to produce structured business topic research and newsletter. Direct edits to the sections and making client ready reports
Learning mode to get help on step by step automation of AI workflows
Cons
Gemini can add detailed siltation of sources for each of the information generated by its 2.6 model. This helps user to dont go for fact check gain. Its another product called NotebookLM holds this capability.
Sometime it hallucinates, and often produces generic output unless robust prompts are presented. Not everyone knows advance prompting. Hence this can be improved
Addition of MCP connecters, like its peers ChatGPT, Claude etc can help Gemini to gain users
Code generation capabilities can be improved as currently it is at basic levels
Likelihood to Recommend
More appropriate for getting understanding of the overview of any items, summarising or rephrasing of content, email writing, summarising URLs and starter level image generation etc. Less appropriate for advance task like advance coding.
I rated the tool as 7/10 because of its Deep Research capabilities.
I use Google Gemini in a variety of ways: I use it to write copy that is optimized for SEO, I use it to assist in the creation of new email campaigns, and I use it for strategy and problem-solving as an option for having an entity to dialogue with problems.
Pros
SEO Copy Generation
Image Creation
Strategy and revision
Cons
Image creation can use a little help but is far better than anything else on the market
Direct linking to other Google apps
A way to import chats from another LLM

Google Gemini is an excellent app for businesses. You are able to do a lot of work in a much smaller time frame, and what is better is that for a marketer, it is created by Google, so optimizing content for SEO is going to be the best for getting your content to rank well in Google's search engine.
Google Gemini became one of our primary tools for creating images and movement now that they have the Nano Banana image manipulation and video creation.
It is incredible what it can do with a simple prompt. They still have a lot to improve but the seed is there and they will only grow.
Pros
image editing
image creation
movement creation
Cons
hallucinations
code reviewing
tool integration
Likelihood to Recommend
I already did recommended Google Gemini to a friend that works with image editing using photoshop and creates 3D images. By using Gemini he can make short movements that goes exactly with the kind of work he does (animation).
Regarding coding, I still suggest it but more and more it becomes irrelevant compare the models on coding.
We use this as our primary AI assistant. We have corporate membership to Google Gemini advanced which we extensively use to work on Google office docs, generate and analyze reports and tech docs. Also We extensively use this as a code assistant to write code for development purposes, optimize programs and find potential bugs.
We also use this extensively for debugging and finding out if there is a vulnerability in the code.
Pros
Debugging code snippets
Summarizing docs and performing mathematical operations on Google sheets
Understanding simple requirements and generating code for it
Cons
Direct integration into IntelliJ IDEA or VSCode
ability to run code directly within the code snippet generator
Ability to read data directly within Github enterprise and then answer questions
ability to generate images or docs
Likelihood to Recommend
Places where it works well.1. On demand prompt answering regarding general tech questions that you would have found answers to on google. 2. Summarizing docs.3. Finding easy bugfixes in code or fixing some easy runtime/compile time errors
Places where it is less appropriate:
1. Where we need integration across multiple files , i.e if you want to reference multiple code files and then generate code. 2. If we want to do heavy-duty AI based image generation.
Recently we've been taking advantage of Google Gemini "Gems", where we thoughtfully prompt Google Gemini to perform time consuming or repetitive tasks. One of our favorite implementations is SOC Bot - a compliance minded assistant that is seeded with our policies and SOC System description. It aids us in answering vendor questionnaires, auditor requests, and internal queries about the controls that we have in place. It democratizes our security and compliance efforts, making us more secure and well informed.
Pros
Organizes brain dumps of information into coherent and readily understood content
Remembers context provided in past messages and understanding how to return output
Good integration with Google Sheets and Docs, allowing for seamless export and speedy delivery to production
Cons
Currently the document database caps out at 10, requiring us to condense some of our policies
It's large context window is a blessing and a curse. Sometimes it stops generating half way through a very ambitious request as it delivers page after page of content
There is no way to share Gems currently, so we have to publish guides to our employees on how to best configure them

It is great for the ideation phase of nearly any initiative. It is not as good at coding as Claude, but it is very strong for building Python scrips and workflows to help you complete a day to day task. It is very educational, with explanations for everything it is doing. I learn constantly as I work with Google Gemini.
