Overall Satisfaction with Google Gemini

We use this as our primary AI assistant. We have corporate membership to Google Gemini advanced which we extensively use to work on Google office docs, generate and analyze reports and tech docs. Also We extensively use this as a code assistant to write code for development purposes, optimize programs and find potential bugs.
We also use this extensively for debugging and finding out if there is a vulnerability in the code.

Pros

  • Debugging code snippets
  • Summarizing docs and performing mathematical operations on Google sheets
  • Understanding simple requirements and generating code for it

Cons

  • Direct integration into IntelliJ IDEA or VSCode
  • ability to run code directly within the code snippet generator
  • Ability to read data directly within Github enterprise and then answer questions
  • ability to generate images or docs
  • Positive: Quick summarization of tech docs in google docs
  • Positive Operations on google sheets like VLookups, calculations, summarizations etc
  • Positive: Has saved tons of man hours that would otherwise be spendt in debugging
Very easy to use, has a very nice and clean UI. The enterprise's Google Gemini advanced fits very well into google docs/sheets. It even has a section where code can be generated or shown/edited.
Also I love the fact that it has a "deep research" section which helps and shows how the engine is thinking. Also i love the fact that it gives links to the webpages from which it is basing its answer.
I like the UI of Google Gemini way more, and I also love the inbuilt integrations it has with open google docs and sheets. ChatGPT does not have (AFAIK) a Deep research section.
Google Gemini Gems is also an awesome addition which helps to automate mundane/repetitive tasks. I have the enterprise version of Google Gemini, so my comparison may not be fair with ChatGPT free version but I am mentioning what I have experienced.

Places where it works well.1. On demand prompt answering regarding general tech questions that you would have found answers to on google. 2. Summarizing docs.3. Finding easy bugfixes in code or fixing some easy runtime/compile time errors
Places where it is less appropriate:
1. Where we need integration across multiple files , i.e if you want to reference multiple code files and then generate code. 2. If we want to do heavy-duty AI based image generation.
