Use Cases and Deployment Scope

There are multiple ways. One is through group conference calls. We also have one-on-one meetings and regular engagements during our weekly, biweekly, and monthly updates. Sometimes, we even conduct webinars or conference sessions where there’s just one speaker and everyone else listens. So these are the different ways we use Google Meet.

Pros

  • It’s easy.
  • It’s integrated with Slack, so you just need to type a command and the link is generated, ready. You don’t need to go do scheduling — it’s quick to get a link in order to initiate a meeting. So that’s really quick.
  • Another thing is, it has an option for conversation in it, so I really like that you can have the video conferencing, and side by side, Q&A can also be taking place. You can either have a dedicated Q&A session going on, or you can have a global chat process also.

Cons

  • One major one — I always say that we cannot send attachments during the meeting. Teams has that, so I believe Google should add that as well. Because you can have the conversation in the messages, but you can’t provide a file. So let’s say I have a technical conversation with someone, and I want to share a document, like an architecture diagram — I cannot send it. We have to use Gmail or Drive for that. It can be integrated for sure, so that’s an improvement that definitely can be done.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you have a small team, use Google Meet. If you want to have a weekly check-up, use Google Meet. If you want to do a small hosting of conferences — kind of like a webinar, I would say to be very specific — Google Meet is really, really good. So that’s what my recommendations are.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it for communication mostly internally. We also use it to share links for documents within Google Drive.

Pros

  • It's pretty flexible in how you want to use it. Whatever you think of you can do, probably do

Cons

  • I'm pretty happy with it.

Likelihood to Recommend

For calls or anything. Conference. There's the transcript option. That's really nice. So you don't have to take notes during your meetings, but then make sure to get permission from the other person to know that they're being recorded while they're doing the call.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it for every single meeting. So internally, and if we are the meeting creator, it's all through Google Meet. So video, customer video calls.

Pros

  • I think it's fairly easy to operate. Once people get in, they know where the buttons are and stuff.
  • The chat's good.
  • It does good transcriptions.
  • I like the backgrounds that are available.
  • I like the just overall, I guess the layout is simple and most people know how to use it, which is good.

Cons

  • I don't know if this is a bandwidth thing or Google Meet thing, but definitely sometimes it will run slow or freeze because of the video being on the wifi. It is just running the video will kind of freeze your time out or you have to turn off your video. Otherwise, I mean, I like it. I don't really have that many negative or improvement feedback.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think it's great. I think I like that you can call in from your phone, you can log in on your phone. It's very seamless across all of your Google or Gmail, either if you have multiple Gmail addresses, it's easy to use. It's easy to have across all platforms.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

So in our company, what we do is that we use Google Meet to connect. So when we have all those customer calls, we have those internal meetings and everything that we do in Google Meet. So that's the main business use case that we use.

Pros

  • The recordings, so we can have the recordings.
  • It's very easy to start up Google Meet. As it is integrated with Slack, so you can just put the command and you'll have a Google Meet start instantly.
  • We also have the Gemini notes added to it. So those meeting recordings and everything, that gets really helpful. So these are some of the pros.

Cons

  • One of the challenges that I see is that whenever we have in a meeting, we won't be able to drop some of the documents that we have. That's one of the big challenges which I see in Google Meet. At that point of time, we either have to Slack or we have to share an email. We cannot do that, like sending that particular document in the Google meet chat.

Likelihood to Recommend

I would say the customer calls and meetings that we have, that's where it's most treated, but in person, that's where it doesn't suit. Whenever we are trying to meet customers outside, we are trying to connect globally, that is something that helps.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I decided to use Google Meet more and more because me and anyone I worked/I'm working with realize that it's a more intuitive and simple to use platform, at least when we compare it to the others. Moreover, we face no issues even when a poorer connection occurs either at my end or at the other person's end.

Pros

  • User-friendliness
  • Immediacy
  • Reliability

Cons

  • So far, I have nothing to complain about Google Meet.

Likelihood to Recommend

The best scenarios where I think Google Meet is best suited are the work-related meetings and interviews, as well as the job interviews. I think this specific platform is easy to use and has a very intuitive interface, therefore I consider it accessible to everyone... especially those who are less experienced in the information technology field. And if you don't want to use Google Meet's dedicated app, you can access it from your PC with no loss in quality.

Google Meet is an excellent software if you require to setup quick business meetings or one on one discussions. Especially for them who are already knowledgeable with Google workspace environment. Meets native integration with other tools like calendars, Gmail, Google Drive is just seamless, It just enable users to use these tools without switching on different platforms. Raise hand like features are quite good as well as shared screen features makes it to present reports and documents in more suitable manner. If organizations are providing training sessions, intensive workshops and other brainstorming sessions they can easily do that with Google Meet. Its simple interface ensures client would not face any technical difficulties while using it. It also lacks some features like attendee analytics which some of its peers have. It also lacks in having built in monetization tools for webinars or integration with some third party marketing tools. Organizations like finance, Health and government sectors often requires high end encryption or specific compliance certification which is not available with every plan.

Service is top notch at reasonable pricing

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I work under head chef. Our most briefing is done on online meeting. So, we all use Google Meet most of the time. we basically get knowledge on recipes and other customer issues with food. We also talk about the new methods we would like to use in our culinary department. Also, some of our HR meetings are also held online and we can get update directly. During peak season, we have to rotate our shifts and communicate via Google Meet.

Pros

  • Easy to join the meeting.
  • Using chat messages for better communication.
  • Voice clarity is top notch.

Cons

  • Video or sharing screen takes time to connect.
  • I think drop of call due to slightly unstable internet is pathetic.
  • UI seems out of update to me.
  • I think the call recording feature should be added in free plan.

Likelihood to Recommend

I believe Google Meet is ideal for a variety of situations, including short or extended meetings, sales or support presentations. I believe the only option that is inappropriate is for a large number of people, and if it is a very brief call, you must construct a room, and so on; sometimes you are in a rush and simply want to call and converse.
