Reviewers identified a specific area for improvement concerning file sharing capabilities within Google Meet, highlighting a notable gap in its current functionality. Two of seven reviewers expressed a need for direct document sharing within the chat feature during meetings. This limitation necessitates the use of external platforms, such as email or other communication tools, to exchange files, which can disrupt the flow of a technical conversation or presentation. Users frequently reported having to switch to applications like Slack, Gmail, or Google Drive to share important documents, such as architecture diagrams, that are relevant to the ongoing discussion. The absence of this functionality is seen as a significant challenge that could be addressed by integrating file attachment options directly into the meeting chat interface. Implementing this feature would streamline communication, enhance collaboration, and reduce reliance on switching between multiple applications during live sessions, thereby improving overall user experience.

File Sharing in Chat

One of the challenges that I see is that whenever we have in a meeting, we won't be able to drop some of the documents that we have. That's one of the big challenges which I see in Google Meet. At that point of time, we either have to Slack or we have to share an email. We cannot do that, like sending that particular document in the Google meet chat.

Please provide some detailed examples of things that Google Meet does particularly well.
