Grammarly is Great for busy Sales Professionals

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Grammarly has become one of the top five applications used across our organization, and for good reason. It is an essential tool for fast‑moving sales teams who may not always have the time to focus on fine‑tuning their writing. With Grammarly, every employee receives real‑time suggestions that improve clarity, tone, and accuracy across the tools we rely on most—email, documents, web platforms, and mobile devices. We don’t release any external content without first running it through this invaluable resource; in fact, it refined this very paragraph. What began several years ago with just a small group of users has since evolved into an enterprise-wide deployment across the U.S. and Canada. And beyond simply correcting our writing, Grammarly helps us learn. By seeing and understanding the recommended changes, we’ve become more consistent, confident, and effective communicators every day.

Pros

  • Checks grammar and syntax
  • Offers up improved phrases
  • Helps with tone
  • Corrects and improves blog posts
  • Helps with comments on LinkedIn

Cons

  • It would be great if it worked in the native Teams app. If it does, I am unaware of how to engage it
  • It doesn't learn my tone, so AI to ensure it learns my style (show me if this is already there)
  • This is minute, but the Grammarly widget sometimes block the "show" icon

Return on Investment

  • It makes my sales team better writers for less thant the cost of a writing class
  • It stores my content for reuse saving me countless hours of darafting which can be turned into more selling time
  • It ensures we write executive facing communications well so that we maintain credibility which helps us continue to engage senior level decision makers

Good tool for checking your English writing

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used to work on many translations for promotion and advertisement, and translated them into English. I usually don't find it difficult to speak English, but I always hesitate about grammar, commas, and the right tone of voice when I write something in English. Grammarly was seamlessly added to all my working spaces, so any form, Word document, or letter was thoroughly checked.

Pros

  • grammar check
  • typos
  • tone of voice
  • give variations
  • plagiarism check

Cons

  • it can be too strict about simple language and totally judge me for some words like "good" or "interesting" - always requires advanced language
  • Having a tool to simplify language would be a good idea. Sometimes, we need very simple but still good language, for example when we do copy for fresh immigrants.

Return on Investment

  • We could deliver articles faster
  • Our emails were always well polished
  • Team didn' spend additional time to check grammar in team communications like chats and letters.

Excellent Writing Software

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Grammarly on a weekly basis to create content for websites, social media, advertising and other business-related content. The various settings help adjust my goals for the type of content I'm creating and the tools and plagiarism checker helps ensure what I write is perfect for potential customers. The tools built into Grammarly make it so I don't have to worry about my grammar or spelling and can easily free flow ideas and come back later to easily fix any issues.

Pros

  • Ease of use - Grammarly is super easy to use. Anyone can use the app whether in a text editor like Microsoft Word or on the Grammarly website.
  • Integration - This one is a game-changer. It integrates with the main programs I use on a regular basis including email, Microsoft Office, Firefox, desktop, phone and iPads. I didn't need to change to anything or use something different so it was an ideal match.
  • Goals - This is a really cool function of Grammarly. With Goals, you can choose your audience, formality and domain type. So it works for a wide range of users. Depending on the audience type, Grammarly automatically can suggest changes to your content to help ensure your goals are being met.

Cons

  • Memory - I have a lot of programs I need open on my computer and multiple tabs in my web browser. I need them all to do my work. I have noticed a slow-down of apps opening or it taking longer to open a browser window when Grammarly is activated.
  • Business Plan - I would love to use their new style guide feature, however, it would more than triple my monthly cost because they offer it at 3 users per month. I am self-employed and with the multitude of programs I already pay for on a regular basis, it doesn't quite fit in my budget to upgrade. I'd love to see a solopreneur plan.
  • More Integration - It does integrate in a lot of ways already but instead of having to copy and paste from Grammarly into the apps it doesn't integrate with, it would be nice for it to integrate with other apps that could be beneficial, i.e. Canva, Hootsuite, etc.

Return on Investment

  • Saves time
  • Increases the clarity and depth of my writing
  • Offers suggestions to make it better
