Usually we use it to process spam settings with a large set og settings to automate removing of spam. We also use it for antivirus purposes having alot of different features as well as email notifications whenever Heimdal see's something is wrong on our clients. Leading to fast reaction times and generally a good experience.

Generally a very well rounded product with alot of excellent feature sets and easy to implement but hard to live without features. Making the life easier as a tech supporter to know that Heimdal automatically keeps your software up to date and your computer protected as well. There are a few things I would change regarding the design and UI of the wite but all in all it is very good.

We use it to monitor and administer supported 3rd party updates (Chrome, iTunes, etc.) and Microsoft patches automatically on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

We control "sensitive" machines via policy so updates are a manual push. This allows us to test updates constructively before rolling out en-masse.

Heimdal Patch and Asset Management has really helped us consistently patch our endpoints in what has become a much more flexible work environment. It picks up updates immediately upon release (looking at you patch Tuesday!), lets you set automatic install windows for "zero touch" deployment where appropriate and more manual control for clients you may want a slower roll-out for. Support staff are knowledgeable and quick to respond!

Heimdal Patch and Asset Management provides us with a number of tools. Firstly, we use it to maintain a comprehensive list of software assets installed on all endpoints. Off the back of this, we use the 3rd party software module to keep all supported software up to date with the latest patches. The final element is ensuring our operating systems are fully patched to reduce the possibility that any vulnerability is exploited. I love that it gives a holistic view of what we have, its current patch status and what we need to be aware of.

Heimdal Patch and Asset Management is amazing at what it does - keeping all servers and endpoints patched and up to date. It removes the hassle out of manually checking software on each server and endpoint, and frees up the IT team's time to only have to interact with software that won't update automatically.

In order to update 3rd Party applications as well as custom applications we are using Heimdals Patch and Asset Management.

It gives us the possibility to stay up to date and minimize the risk of Vulnerabilities by 3rd party applications.

The module is supporting most of the 3rd Party applications in use and we rarely have to add additional ones through Heimdals Infinity Management.

Likelihood to Recommend

Good for Patching a lot of applications in bulk without big attention to the Management console. Will sometimes cause issues due to complications while updating, which then need to be addressed by support. Would not recommend to use it as primary Distribution System for applications as features like one time operations and bulk operations with custom Ranges are missing. Heimdal Patch and Asset Management will give a good overview but is a limited view due to the restriction of needing to select a time range when a application got installed/updated to make sure it can be seen in the list in my opinion.

Heimdal Patch and Asset Management provides anti-malware protection on the company's end-points. End-point software is kept up to date using Heimdal as are Windows OS updates. We are testing Heimdal Patch and Asset Management alongside another AV product. The other product provides USB management and web access permissions which Heimdal Patch and Asset Management lacks. However, today, software and OS updates appear to be more important than malicious USB devices due to the way today's threats infect devices. Web management remains just as important due to phishing websites and the compromised websites used to distribute malware. The company receives numerous phishing emails which requires two barriers. Should the spam filter fail to detect these emails, the AV software must act as a secondary barrier and detect or block malicious websites.

Heimdal Patch and Asset Management is well suited due to the number of endpoints requiring updates. Software updates are better managed by system admins than the end-user due to the risk of issues sometimes caused by patches. The product is less suited due to the lack of website management. Other products make this task easier by using categories which websites are sorted into. It is easier to determine individual department web access by selecting which categories the users do and don't need access to.

We utilise Heimdal's patch and asset management as a key component to maintain our accreditation with ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials. The ability to patch all manor or applications in a controlled environment, which in turn has a positive impact on the service desk. As well as using the products ourselves we also recommend Heimdal to our customers and are currently engaged in a campaign to engage new customers and are leading with patch management as one of the key pain points that IT departments and service desks need to address.

Likelihood to Recommend

For companies that still patch manually it's well worth considering. The ability to patch a wide range of vendors means no need for WSUS for Microsoft environments, along with the cloud portal. If you are looking to achieve Cyber Essentials / Plus / ISO 27001 then it's a great solution.

It pretty much du the work by itself. We use it to update third-party software on all our machines. It works without any problems and we're glad to have it. It saves us a lot of time.

on of the best things is that i works without a problem with another security program we use 'DarkPicket', so we don't have any problems with them working together.
