What TrustRadius Research Says

Identifix Pricing

Today the modern automotive garage has state-of-the-art diagnostics software for fixing problems on even the rarest car. Shops can benefits greatly from tools like this that allows them to see diagrams and advice on rarer cars they may have never worked on before. This can apply to older classic and foreign make cars. With this access to information, no customer has to be turned away due to unavailable diagnostic data.

Indentifix is a software that offers a variety of software to help you diagnose, repair as well as estimate costs and manage customer relationships.

What is Identifix?

Identifix by Solera is an auto repair software with customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities. They have 4 service options to upgrade and streamline your auto repair shops workflows.

Identifix Direct-Hit is their diagnostic database of uploaded instructions from confirmed fixes by other technicians. It is their main feature service and is compatible with Android and iOS tools. The database has wiring diagrams, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) resources, and other repair information. Identifix’s blog, FAQs, and resources are also centered around helping you diagnose. This article is about typical diagnoses using both a scan tool and Direct-Hit software.

If your automotive repair needs are more complex you can use Direct-Help for 1 on 1 assistance. You can talk directly with L1 master technicians or an OEM service tech. This way if you’ve never worked with a rare car or are stumped on the diagnosis you can still provide quality customer support instead of turning away a client.

Identifies Direct-Shop service offers tools for invoicing, estimating, and reporting. The service is meant to have improved ease of use for your shop manager. It can even make maintenance schedules easier with its modern user interface. Direct-Shop also has customer management functionality, but their Direct-Market service has more customer loyalty features.

For the Direct-Market service, they offer a metrics dashboard and targeted communications for your marketing campaigns. Analytics and communications are especially useful to any local business that wants to grow. This service is great for shops that need more community presence.

What Are The Benefits Of Identifix?

The point of a service like Identitfix is to improve your daily tasks like diagnosis, billing, and customer service. The reality is this service isn’t required to get the job done so the benefit is to make your job easier but it replaces or eliminates work. If its more cost-effective you can certainly go without a tool like this.

In terms of user satisfaction and overall sentiment on benefits, we can’t offer any information. There are no identifix reviews on TrustRadius. This is does not mean there are no review sources available. YouTube is a great place to find video reviews of mechanics and automotive repair shops that have used Indentifix.

TrustRadius cannot verify third-party reviews. You will notice some mixed feelings about Indentifx from mechanics. Here is a video that details how to use Identifix from an Identifix user. The mechanic also talks about other tools they have used and makes very helpful comparisons.

How Much Does Solera Identifix Cost?

We cannot confirm an exact cost for Indentifix. Rates reported on other websites have noted the service to be $179 a month. It’s assumed that they mean Direct-Hit which is their feature product.

Alternatives

The hard part about automotive repair and diagnostic software is finding prices and reviews. You’re not going to find the same extensive amount of reviews as you would for an online chat service or cloud platform. There is a small user base and very little pricing information given by service providers.

We’re going to briefly look at Fullbay which TrustRdius does have recent reviews an information on, and a fan favorite among users ALLDATA, which we do not have reviews for just yet.

Fullbay is similar to Indentifix in the sense that they both have customer management functionality and tools to help with repair and diagnostics. Fullbay also do not offer upfront pricing. Our user reviews don’t go into pricing but they do point out satisfaction with the software help with workflow. They report great ease of use and suppport.

For ALLDATA, they have transparent pricing for all their services right on their landing page. THere’s no guess work or games. You look for what you want and then you can buy it. We’re not going to cover all their services but they have quite a few different packages.

The one downside is the pricing tends to range between $40 a month to $200 a month depending on the service. If you’re a small or new shop it may be better to wait or keep looking for more affordable software.

They have shop management services, diagnostic services, and repair information services. ALLDATA Repair has OEM service and interactive wiring diagrams. It can be paid monthly at $189/month or annually at $2,268 per year.

In terms of transparency, ALLDATA might be your best choice because they’re pricing and plans are readily available. You can also find more resources about ALLDATA online, especially tutorials and demos.

This doesn’t mean Identifix or Fullbay is a worse choice. It just may be easier research-wise to look at services like ALLDATA before contacting a sales team for a quote.
