Managing this level of localization complexity used to be a massive challenge, but Iterable makes it seamless. Thanks to its powerful Catalogs feature and the flexible logic of Handlebars, we have been able to centralize and automate our localization process. This allows us to inject hyper-personalized, dynamic content at scale without endlessly duplicating templates. Marketing Team Empowerment: The impact on our agility has been incredible. We have gained 80% autonomy for our marketing team. The platform is intuitive and robust enough that the team can easily create complex audience segmentations and build workflow automations (Journeys) on their own, without constantly relying on engineering or technical support. Business Growth: The ultimate result of this independence and ability to scale? We have grown the revenue of our CRM channel exponentially. We can iterate quickly, reach the right user in the correct language, and optimize our conversions in record time.

  • Major area is reliability for large scale volume. Time and time again, Iterable has shown downtime as well as issues at times of scaled load that would result in sends to be super delayed for recipients

Iterable is our ESP used for our B2C marketing activity. We utilise both journeys and blast emails supported by a great range of features within the Iterable platform including the snippets and recently enhanced content library. Managing our audience through segmentation and lists is simple and effective, and the native reporting is strong too.

Pros

  • Journey builder; from triggers to flexibility within the trigger and constant innovation, this is a really strong part of Iterable.
  • The snippets builders add a lot of efficiency with re-usable content.
  • Constantly innovating; one of Iterable's strengths is that they never sit still, new features and improvements to existing ones are always in the pipeline.
  • STO on a user by user basis allows us to treat users as individuals.

Cons

  • We've utilised the MCP server this year to integrate with Claude, however Claude only builds emails in the WYSIWIG editor, which we don't typically user and any final refinements by hand are unfamiliar and tricky.

Likelihood to Recommend

Iterable is great for delivering your email marketing activity. We've not yet added other channels (although may do soon), but others report that the cross-channel capability is strong. Iterable manages to find the sophistication to enable our ambitions, yet remain user friendly and manageable.

We're on a journey from relying heavily on old-fashioned blast emails to automated CRM. Iterable has been a fantastic tool to help us along the way. I particularly enjoy the journey builder that we trigger in multiple ways, from custom events, to list schedules, and user actions.

Pros

  • Super quick support through slack on questions and issues
  • Regularly developing new features
  • Leaning into AI in a clear actionable way
  • Regular catch ups to ensure they're aligned with your marketing strategy

Cons

  • I do think the segmentation area needs some improvements based on previous experience with Braze
  • Frequency management - ability to set more than one rule, e.g. x2 emails in one day, x4 emails per week cap
  • Improvement in HTML building - snippets always break when moving from code to front end

We use Iterable as our CRM tool for our B2C business, utilising email, push, SMS & Embedded Messages. It enables us to easily reach our global audience in their native language with minimal setup. We use it for all our transactional emails and marketing campaigns, fully migrating from another tool to Iterable in 2023.

Iterable gives us full flexbility across a range of channels to reach our audience, as a mobile first company, we can message our users in the app with very granular personalization all the way to huge email sends for Black Friday. The analytics could be better but Nova is a huge step in the right direction.

We are currently in the middle of migrating fully to Iterable from Bloomreach, in the first week of IP warm-up. We'll be using Iterable to facilitate our full CRM function (sending all comms to our B2B and B2C customer base in the US and the UK). We'll be using email, push, in-app and SMS and we're really excited.

Cons

  • Reporting limitations, some simple things such as unique unsubscribe rate is not provided so we have to work this out ourselves.
  • Providing customer details within campaign analytics, having to use segmentation for user's clicks is a little clunky.

We have recently migrated over to Iterable within the last 4 weeks. We were previously with customer.io. We send high volume emails to our audiences. The product helps us address engagement/volume correlations by using best different features such as the recommendation model, priority push notifications and send time optimisation for our non-UK users.

We also utilize Iterable to test new templates and messaging. I am looking forward to the upcoming improvements to the platform and to how much Nova will help me execute my daily tasks.

Iterable is excellent for creating customer journeys that are tailored to specific purposes. The features related to journey creation are user-friendly and easily modifiable. However, there are some shortcomings in its reporting capabilities, particularly when exporting data for a specific timeframe. Additionally, when running tests, there is no dashboard that displays the aggregated results of all tests. As a result, I have to analyze this information externally to make informed decisions.
