Leapsome - a Performance Management Software worth a shot

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Leapsome as our main performance management software. We use it throughout the yearly goal setting process and for all mid-year reviews. We also utilize it for training purposes and to publish OKRs for our teams. We have been using Leapsome for the last year after previously using Betterworks.

Cons

  • Sometimes it is hard to navigate
  • It is tough to see how visible your feedback is and who views it
  • It took some time to get to understand the software

Return on Investment

  • It has helped standardize the review process
  • I feel like it has (for better or worse) cause me to invest more time in performance reviews
  • It allows for strong visibility across teams

  • Key KPI at the home page

Cons

  • I believe this tool can also hold the rewards and recognition function as well which can help in managing it along with performance management
  • This tool should also have an option to record 1:1 discussions and earlier reviews along with the yearly performance management
  • Remuneration details are although an HR function and should be within the company’s restricted information however the yearly bonus and increment details can also be sent across this tool and that will be recorded accordingly. Just a thought for HR database. Not sure about the restrictions

Awesome product for people management

Pros

  • Great tool for assessments & development Profile, awesome graphs and highly customizable
  • Internal surveys as one of the most used feature, use of visuals to represent data is very impressive
  • Integration with Slack keeps me updated so emails are not lost in the sea of unreads
  • A personalized "To Do" list helps me save time.

Cons

  • Setting up a meeting on Leapsome for assessment was tiresome, good tool but needs to have better UX
  • The goals feature needs to be expanded a bit more
  • If it can be integrated with project management tools, that would be awesome
