Worth the cost

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use it along with my coworkers to review documents submitted to us for analysis. This is my first time using Logikcull. I was trained by someone who had used it at a previous place of employment. Logikcull is very user friendly. I was able to get the basics down in under an hour. I've been using the program independently since. It makes a great deal of difference in getting through large files more quickly as well as making connections between documents. The new features, such as linking documents with similar content, will make it easier still.

Pros

  • Tagging similar documents
  • Diffusing large data sets
  • Advancing user friendliness

Cons

  • Making saved searches easier to find

Likelihood to Recommend

If you have to dilute large data sets, it reduces the man hours necessary considerably. Being able to tag documents for further review is also a great feature.

Document production made easy!

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As far as I know, it is being used in my department, in-house counsel. It makes the process of document review and production in discovery much easier.

Pros

  • easy upload of documents
  • ability to customize tags and labels to fit what you need
  • ease of downloading all docs as .pdf no matter the native format
  • ease of review and organization

Cons

  • when reviewing and having to go to the next page, the system stays at the bottom instead of scrolling back to the top of the doc list, which would be the next doc in the list
  • being able to change the font size of the redaction labels would be KEY

Likelihood to Recommend

If you have a large volume of documents to review and produce, and especially when you know a lot of those documents are irrelevant and can easily be culled with Logikcull.

Logikcull - Today's Law Firm's Complete Solution to E-Discovery

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Logikcull is used at the firm for a variety of purposes, but primarily in support of the firm's E-Discovery Practice Group, in the context of litigation, subpoena response, and corporate internal investigations. It is used across the entire organization. It addresses the challenge of powerful analytics within the context of a highly comfortable user interface. It also provides the user with powerful administrative privileges, as opposed to other platforms that try and hold on to these. Thus, it empowers its users.

Pros

  • It ingests data robustly, allowing the user to set a variety of ingestion rules.
  • It provides an interface for attorney review that significantly reduces user training.
  • It has robust user features to enhance the review and tag function of an attorney review team.
  • There are too many wonderful export features to list, but suffice it to say very robust.
  • Support is at the platinum level with real-time chat interface with REAL tech types who can solve issues, without going through a script
  • The company obviously invests heavily in development and seems to always be on the industry edge of simply making things better, faster, more efficient, and cost-effective.

Cons

  • Perhaps data processing transfer from here to there, but that may be as much the Firm as Logikcull.
  • A few more reporting features to keep track of reviewer activity.
  • Auto notices of reviewer activity would be neat.

Likelihood to Recommend

Logikcull is well suited to engage a firm from the beginning of the EDRM to the end of the EDRM cycle. It has robust data ingestion functionalities, data processing power, superb metadata, text extraction, and indexing code. It empowers the user to design attorney review platforms to tailor each case and assignment, without going through layers of "Project Managers." It enables a law firm to redirect revenue that had been outsourced to vendors back into the Firm. And with complete internal control, we can turn on any dime. In short, Logikcull is well suited to be the comprehensive answer to E-Discovery requirements within an active litigation practice, from the smallest cases to the terabyte level cases. Support is at the platinum level.

Likelihood to Recommend

Logikcull is a very user-friendly platform for document management and e-discovery. It works exceptionally well for creating and sharing document production, uploading and managing documents, and digesting large volumes of data. We shave been introduced to their new legal hold capabilities but currently prefer to use another platform until they update functionality.

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Logikcull primarily to prepare messages from our clients' Slack environments for e-discovery review and production.

Pros

  • Customer service / tech support
  • Ease of use
  • Speed
  • Pricing

Cons

  • Implementation of feature requests
  • Metadata availability for Slack uploads

Likelihood to Recommend

Well-suited for DIY e-discovery processing and review. The platform is simple to use and pretty damn fast. If you have simple/basic source ESI and you want something quick and dirty, this is a great platform for that.

Where it's less appropriate is for a large multi-user review, or where the data sources are complex.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Logikcull is used by paralegals and attorneys to research large collections of documents and search through them to find relevant information to a specific case.

Pros

  • Using search terms allows user to identify specific documents that deal with a subject
  • Once reviewed and sorted provides a safe and easy process to produces documents responsive and to endorse them if needed
  • The best part about the Logikcull platform is it does not cost an arm and a leg to use like the other ediscovery tools on the market

Cons

  • I would like to have an easier way to identify the last email in a string that includes all the attachments in the string
  • Other areas I have contacted Logikcull about I have been pleasantly surprised to find out that either there had been an update that solved my issue or one was on the way.

Likelihood to Recommend

Logikcull is just a much easier platform to use than most of the others out there at a much more reasonable price. I have worked within several of the ediscovery products and found that from their customer service which is extremely responsive and helpful to the process of accessing and navigating the platform they are the best on the market.

Applications and Ease of Use Puts Time Back in Your Day!

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We implemented Logikcull to assist with the collection, review and production of information and documentation responsive to third party subpoenas and discovery requests propounded in pending litigation matters. At this time, Logikcull is being used only by the legal department.

Pros

  • The application permits a quick and user friendly way of reviewing large collections of documents; the ability to "tag" and cull documents is particularly helpful when trying to review a significant volume of emails.
  • The ability to generate an electronic file of documents and download same for production significantly reduces document preparation time.

Cons

  • Inclusion of "family members" in a particular search often brings in those family member files that have either not been tagged or tagged as "non-responsive." For example, a recent search I conducted brought in company logos on signature blocks so I had to go through the initial download and delete those documents so they were not included in the final production. There may be an easier way of removing these or making sure they are not included in the search/download -- I'm still getting used to the program.

Likelihood to Recommend

I really like the program. Relying on the training modules alone is not enough, however. For me, I had to just jump in and start working with the various features before I really understood how to navigate through it.
