I use Intuit Mailchimp to deliver news and other important updates to customers and very easy to manage our client list with convenient opt-out options. Ability to review campaign performance including views, delivery, and click rates.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It allows you to reach out to our customer base and discuss updates, sales, education, and much more. I am grateful to have reached out to them and to have gained brand loyalty in the process. It helps us truly connect, not just sell. I can segment my audiences and decide who I want to send communications to.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our open rates weren't ideal with other email marketing software, but Mailchimp has since fixed that, thankfully. They also make audiences much easier to target. We've also been using their form function lately, which has helped us tremendously since leaving HubSpot. Overall, their design capabilities and deliverability rates have greatly improved our email marketing strategy.

Pros

The email design functions are intuitive and allow for easy customization.
Their tagging system helps us segment emails more effectively for better content for different audiences.
The new form function has helped us to collect more demo requests.

Cons

The forms could be more customizable.
I wish it were easier to consolidate different tags into one large audience.

Any mid-sized company looking to expand its email marketing strategy would benefit from getting Mailchimp, even if you don't have a designated marketing professional. It is very easy to learn how to use it in both design and automation. While there might be less expensive email marketing software out there that's better suited for smaller businesses, if you're taking your email marketing seriously, I would definitely recommend Mailchimp.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have been using Intuit Mailchimp for weekly e-mail blasts for over 10 years. It is very easy to use and you do not need to be an adobe or graphics expert to use it. When we did get our graphics department involved, Intuit Mailchimp still had all the fancy options they wanted to implement, so there is no limit with the program. I have even created my own training sessions to help members of an association I am part of learn how to get started and use Intuit Mailchimp, that's how much it has worked for us.

Automatically adding sign ups from website to lists
Being able to automatically remove duplicate e-mails from one list to another

Other businesses wanting to do e-mail marketing is well suited. Not being able to have a plug in to automatically add customers from a database or account software is less suited.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Intuit Mailchimp for the majority of our email marketing, including newsletters, drip campaigns, and announcements. This includes mass emails to existing customers and prospects. In the past we have also used Mandrill for sending transactional emails, but we have moved away from this in favour of our own in-house solution.

Pros

Fairly simple and straightforward compared to other systems.
Good delivery rates.
Good uptime and reliability.

Cons

While it has historically been quite a simple and easy to use system, updates appear to have been quite badly handled and it is getting increasingly confusing to use.
No ability to easily convert a basic email campaign to an A/B or multivariate test.
Branching capabilities in automated journeys are very basic.

Likelihood to Recommend

Intuit Mailchimp is probably fair better suited to B2C marketing than our own B2B SaaS marketing use case. When we first adopted Intuit Mailchimp over 10 years ago it was a significant improvement over our previous platform in terms of usability, marketing features, and API flexibility. However, I feel any improvements have had minimal utility for us as a business, and most improvements appear to have been aimed at eCommerce use cases.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Mailchimp to organize our newsletter list and send SMS messages to our subscribers. This gives us direct contact with customers, high open rates and the ability to format our messages quickly and clearly.

Pros

SMS messaging is seamless
We appreciate the campaign based emails
Maintaining our database is simple

Cons

complex logic for automation is lacking
I would love a CRM type of pipeline
Segmenting is not intuitive and hard to build

Intuit Mailchimp was our email marketing program. We used it primary for growing our email list on our landing pages and our website. Then used some automation to connect with the new contact. Then we we used Intuit Mailchimp for our monthly email marketing campaigns for our digital agency. It was used for updates and any new projects we just completed. The biggest problem it solved was organizing our lists. It gave us the infrastructure to get our contacts in the right place.

Likelihood to Recommend

The best example for our use of Intuit Mailchimp was for our monthly newsletters. We were able to create graphics, implement the newsletter. and then deploy. It was easy to use and eventually a new hire was able to take care of this process.

There was no scenarios where Intuit Mailchimp didn't "deliver" on its promises.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have used Intuit Mailchimp for email marketing, automation and A/B testing in our communications. We are in the process of integrating to our CRM creating landing pages for lead generation. Also we are debating if we implement SMS as well since we want one platform to concentrate all our efforts.

daily scenarios using it to build emails by themselves or email campaigns for our higher education institution, saving us time to develop more strategies.

from my perspective I don't see less appropriate scenarios since is a tool where we can expand as much as we want, not only for emails, but more marketing efforts

I use Intuit Mailchimp to Send Email Blast reated to our Sales and Service offerings to a Large Database. Intuit Mailchimp integrates into other systems I'm using to make sending out Email Blasts Simple and Easy. Uploading large email address lists are easy and very user friendly. Having the abaility to see open percentages in the dashboard make the system even more usefull.

Email Blasts to larger groups for mass and general audiences. Being able to see the results of your campaigns is very helpful.The one place it is not directly suited for is tageting smaller groups of cusotmers with specific emails generated from specific criterea created in other systems then uploaded to Intuit Mailchimp.

A majority of our clients are retainer-based. However, we do take on short-term projects, and some of these clients may not fully understand the breadth of what we do. We use Intuit Mailchimp campaigns to upsell existing clients and re-engage former clients through educational content, company updates, and industry news.

Pros

User-friendly platform.
Scalable solutions.
I see Intuit Mailchimp as a consistent and trusted brand. It's one of the first and although the brand has obviously evolved over the years, I still think of it as a go-to platform for email marketing.

Cons

More templates.
An easier way to make edits across desktop and mobile view.

If you're a beginner when it comes to email marketing, Intuit Mailchimp is a great place to start. It's easy to use, affordable, and can be upgraded as your needs grow.
