It works.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it to reach people by text message and email about our upcoming classes. The link and personalized message help reach people and prevent them from immediately ignoring the message. Email has become overused, so text messages are the only way to reach people. It also helps to keep notes on our customers and organize them.

Pros

  • Organizes customer base.
  • Text messages with first names.
  • Emails

Cons

  • Small businesses need to grab numbers on the go and add them to particular groups.
  • Let me craft and send texts on the go.
  • Allow me to text a customer directly and see it come in over the app.

Likelihood to Recommend

Reaching out to customers about upcoming events is a good use case. It does not work well for emergency notifications. For that to work, they would need pre-saved messages for text and email that are already vetted by Mailchimp and given priority when sending.

My experience with Mailchimp

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Mailchimp for our email marketing campaigns within the business and have always found it very easy to use which can be a difficult thing for other providers. We also use it for SMS marketing and have found great success with this also, really good for keeping in touch with our current and previous customers who rely on information for coming back to us.

Pros

  • E-Mail Marketing
  • SMS Marketing
  • CRM Management

Cons

  • Pricing
  • Interface
  • Integrations

Likelihood to Recommend

Well suited for our generic email marketing campaigns to people however i feel like it could have more functions with AI and templates. I find a lot of the templates are very samey. Also it could be good to have a feature that adds like an email warm up tool so that our campaigns don’t go into spam or the promotions folder

Great product

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We utlize Mailchimp for communication with our people, whether it be safety campaigns, monthly newsletters, new things coming up, or birthday cards. The management of the lists and tags in the system is perfect for various groups we send messages to. Our people know to expect these emails. We appreciate the ability to see who all has read the emails and the ease of retargeting the group so we can ensure people are getting into important emails. We appreciate the ability to have multiple people in the account and also that we can send emails out as other individuals on the account as well.

Pros

  • Organize upcoming emails to be sent out in the calendar view
  • Use a similar style on emails
  • Group people by tags
  • Multiple people using same lists

Cons

  • Automatically retargeting those that haven't opened emails

Likelihood to Recommend

Use for an employer to communicate effectively with their employees. Ease of use for all types of users. The ability to retarget those that have not yet opened is super handy. Sharing background information in Mailchimp so that each person doesn't have to keep their information on people up to date. Would be a good tool for those with any type of business.

Decent for smaller operations

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Intuit Mailchimp for B2C marketing emails and SMS, as well as the occasional B2B or internal email. We don't use it every day, but probably every week.

We needed a platform that could easily segment user groups and quickly send users promotional emails that were simple but well designed. We also inherited the platform after an acquisition.

Pros

  • Audience segmentation
  • Simple/Easy design
  • Easy to use SMS system and verification

Cons

  • The email platform doesn't provide a lot of options for customization
  • The analytics are very barebones
  • The analytics are also hard to navigate

Likelihood to Recommend

I think Intuit Mailchimp is good for smaller operations, or operations that are sending a lot of simple emails. I also think the SMS platform is very easy to use and one of the strongest parts of the platform. Verifying an SMS number was very quick, and it was nice being able to send verified texts quickly.

How Intuit Mailchimp makes my business easier

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Intuit Mailchimp allows me to more efficiently reach my audience to notify them of changes being made in my practice, updates and announcements in a private way which is very important in my business. There are not many options available other than Intuit Mailchimp for this service and Intuit Mailchimp makes it easy, fast and professional.

Pros

  • Organizes my contacts
  • Helps design my emails
  • Keeps contacts private

Cons

  • Some of the platform is not easy to navigate because of unclear navigation.
  • Some information is repetitive on the email subject lines.
  • The app is less easy to navigate than the webpage.

Likelihood to Recommend

Intuit Mailchimp is well suited for people that have a big audience, but need privacy for their recipients. Intuit Mailchimp is also well suited for novices on email template design. I believe that Intuit Mailchimp leans more towards businesses that have products to sell rather than health practices, but it works well enough.

Intuit Mailchimp for Employee Onboarding and Retention

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We probably use Intuit Mailchimp a little differently than most organizations. We are a government entity that isn't really selling anything. As the office manager, I use it to send SMS communication to staff in the office for more urgent or emergency purposes. I also use it to send an internal onboarding and offboarding email campaign to employees. These emails are sent out throughout the first year of employment and prompt new employees to fill out required paperwork, read office policy, introduce and teach them how to contact IT and HR, inform them of emergency strategies, teach them how to use timesheets and direct them to our internal office hub/website as a resource to find all of the answers that they are looking for. A separate campaign is also being created for the final two weeks of employment. Intuit Mailchimp provides a way to ensure that new employees get all of the information they need digitally, without inundating new employees with a giant handbook on their first day, that they probably won't read or won't remember what they read. It also gets them in the habit of going to our internal hub where this information is stored. This helps teach them where they can go to find answers. All of this is done through Intuit Mailchimp's automation, so no one has to personally send emails to ensure important items are communicated. We can also track which emails are opened and what links are clicked to see if employees are actually using it.

Pros

  • Makes it easy to set up email campaigns
  • Organizes contact
  • makes it easy to communicate with our employees

Cons

  • I wish could add a new contact when starting a campaign, instead of having to add them first and then going and adding them to a campaign. I do use it differently than most, so maybe that's just me.

Likelihood to Recommend

Because I do not use Intuit Mailchimp as an external marketing tool, I am not sure how it compares to other similar tools, but for internal email campaigns, the ease of use is great. I would guess that smaller companies that do not have super experienced marketing teams could still figure out how to use it for their needs. There are tutorials and helps that also teach you what to do and what it is capable of.

Best email marketing tool

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Intuit Mailchimp to market to our current customer list. Intuit Mailchimp makes the process super simple. Customer retention has never been better because we are always top of mind when a plumbing issue arises. Our CSR spends about an hour each week scheduling the next weeks email plan and we’re always prepared. Customers receive our weekly blog post and any kind of specials we are running.

Pros

  • Scheduling of emails
  • Organization of content
  • Consistency

Cons

  • Need more templates
  • Templates seem basic
  • Ai integration

Likelihood to Recommend

We use the product to inform customers of when their warranty is about to expire. This allows us to contact them in a non sales interaction.

Great for communicating with busy students.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Wesley Campus Ministry uses MailChimp to communicate with our students who are on campus to let them know about weekly activities, upcoming events, and provide ways to sign up for things like the Leadership Team or service opportunities, trips and retreats. We also now use it to communicate with alumni, supporters, and friends of our ministry. It's helping us to build a support system and a way to ask for financial and other support in a streamlined sort of way. As well as letting us communicate all the good news that we can share from each semester, and what the ministry accomplished.

Pros

  • Creates clean, professional looking emails.
  • Provides user-friendly interface that is fairly intuitive.
  • Allows for SMS lists and communication as well as email campaigns.

Cons

  • Photo and graphic uploads could use folders instead of having to page through multiple pages of content to find graphics I want to reuse.
  • Make it easier to use emojis in creating email text. I see other orgs and brands do this, but I still haven't figured out how to do it myself.

Likelihood to Recommend

As a small non-profit campus ministry organization MailChimp has been extremely helpful in helping us streamline our communication both to our current students/participants as well as our alumni, supporters, and friends. It's especially helpful to be able to send out SMS communications as well as email. And for someone who is not an expert in communications, graphics, or web design, the interface is user-friendly and intuitive enough I can still feel confident that I'm putting out polished, professional looking communications to our stakeholders.
