I use MarketMuse for planning my blog topic and optimizing it for SEO. I also use this software to compare my article to the other top-ranked competitors. It is good for FAQ writing too. I even use MarketMuse for Internal as well as External link suggestions. For every SEO-based marketer, it's a hard game to get top ranked on google to get audiences. MarketMuse is the problem solver in this arena. It provides the present status of the article and gives necessary suggestions to get ranked by necessary optimization.

Easy tool to implement great SEO content quickly

MarketMuse was instrumental in a few of our divisions for refining their content. The primary objective of the software was to improve on-page keywords for SEO. MarketMuse was used to discover keywords used by competitors in similar content and monitor the number of instances of a key word or phrase in the document they were editing. MarketMuse does a great job visualizing these data, including important words and phrases not used that should be or not used enough. Through colors and links to competing/similar content, the content creators were able to pivot as they were refining their drafts. In some cases, the tool helped writers and editors discover additional angles to the stories or articles they were writing.

MarketMuse isn’t used across all company units, but in most crucial departments we utilize it to optimize, create and plan content for marketing. We are able to identify the right and most unique keywords when creating posts and blogs with MarketMuse software.

  • Availability of content inventory on MarketMuse makes it easy to measure the quality of the content before uploading or updating it.
  • With AI-generated content, I am able to write and upload content like a pro that has high-ranking keywords.
  • Identifying key topics and subtopics while creating content to upload on the blog saves a lot of time.

  • Unavailability of free trial or freemium version to try the platform.
  • MarketMuse is highly priced, but the cost is worth the impact.

MarketMuse is a content optimization powerhouse

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

MarketMuse is being used by my team to revamp content to get a broader SEO value. Appreciate the value it adds to content creation. Used two other content optimizers and MarketMuse is a nice alternative to traditional SEO content optimization tools. Being able to order content briefs and other stages of content development is just the icing on the cake.

Likelihood to Recommend

For me MarketMuse really shines when revamping old content that has already been optimized with tools like yoast or rankmath. MarketMuse can add so much value to enriching the content beyond the technical issues most page optimization tools output. Using the tool one has to be careful of not keyword stuffing just to meet an optimization benchmark.

MarketMuse is being used by our Digital Content Specialist to help assess our existing articles for opportunities to optimize them and to help provide a skeleton draft plan for upcoming articles. The main reason for using MarketMuse is to ensure we are delivering high-quality content that answers the questions people are asking about particular topics.

Pros

  • It provides an invaluable heatmap comparing your article to top-ranking articles on the same topic.
  • It gives you an idea of how many times a particular phrase should be mentioned in an article to be considered authoritative.

Cons

  • Being nit picky, but I would love to have the AI use British English :P
  • The Connect application very rarely provides internal link suggestions that are actually relevant.

Likelihood to Recommend

I particularly enjoy using the various applications, Connect, Research, Questions, and Compete, to quickly run a published article and see where improvements are needed. The Compete application is very valuable in finding the highest authority articles on a particular topic. I then use these to discover if there is an aspect of the topic that I have missed or should provide a more in-depth discussion on.
