Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The autonomous database contributes a great advance to the operation since the efficiency in terms of adaptation in different scenarios and different circumstances is much higher than the reaction capacity that the DBAs in charge had before its implementation. Additionally, the perceived cost reduction in terms of the need for personnel in charge of monitoring the operation is notorious.

Pros

The management of the transactional databases is carried out with the ATP, with an improvement in day-to-day efficiency.
Quick adaptation to sudden changes in workload.

Cons

In my opinion, The learning algorithm may have improvements to take advantage of new technologies.
In my opinion, the Database training models are not always the most accurate.

Likelihood to Recommend

The implementation in scenarios where transactionality is the most important thing and sudden changes often occur, this database engine is ideal, however, in scenarios where greater control of the environment is required because strategies are being developed to redefine the business does not turn out to be so convenient because it does not get the most out of it.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have started using the Oracle Autonomous database as a data store for Log analytics. It does ease the need for maintenance and is self-managing when it comes to performance advisory reports. But I will say it's still under evaluation in comparison to Amazon RDS.

Pros

We are using automated index management for one of our asset repositories.
We have had a big relief from the need for patching this database.
We did see a performance improvement when we moved the DB to Oracle ADB.

Cons

More deep dive insights on the data modelling chosen by the Oracle ADB.

Cons

Easier access to connecting to Data lake files & reading them directly similar to Apache Hive
Association/Intro to Data lakes & Spark access from ADW
Streaming Features direct availability/Plugging stream data into ADW

More for relational database requirements where DW analytics is needed. While Not many features to connect the data from a data lake & use it against real-time/stream analytics.

Oracle Autonomous Database is the primary database at my current project, and it serves as a backend for a UI that caters to more than 25000 users per day. It caters their day to day need to transact and fetch reports. Oracle Autonomous Database does a great work of handling all the requests and catering to all the users without any failure.

Oracle Autonomous Database works well with backend structure for applications; however, I felt it has a scope to improve a data warehouse. It can perform really well in OLTP environments however with OLAP it struggles a bit.

I use Oracle Autonomous Database in Demonstrations or POC for training, certification, and support for our customers where Autonomous is deployed personally. I always have a free account. It is wonderful to have access to Autonomous unlimited during this time.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We've deployed it on our applications workloads to scale our data management including the ultra mission databases that have sensitive data. It's working swiftly in data protection using AI that's not prone to errors like humans. We've used it to manage our customers' data- invoices, recordings, and reports securely and while maintaining a high-performance status.

Security of data is always guaranteed
Works well in data tweaking and encryption

Cons

Lacks Database Administration monitoring tools.
Demands a high financial commitment for acquisition and use.

Oracle Autonomous Database has been impressive with AI analytics to eliminate the human componential errors in database management. It's also well suited for lifecycle tasks with no downtimes. Automation of routine tasks with Oracle Autonomous Database is very efficient, running upgrades and data backups on its own, yours is just to schedule. The only issue is that it requires skilled professionals to manage it.

Oracle Database is one of the main DB platforms used at Change Healthcare for business-critical systems. It has been installed on over a hundred servers, sized from a few GB to over 100TB.

Cons

Versions: introduction of long and short-term versions make it difficult to plan and maintain the databases up to date
Patches: CPU, PSU, etc. difficult to keep track of and stay with consistent strategy

Consulting Organizations on how to protect themselves from cyber predators. Oracle Autonomous Database greatly provides the kind of protection clients are looking for. In addition to it being able to do its job with little to no human intervention. Its covers any Organization large or small. Most people want somewhat of peace of mind when it comes to knowing that their data is protected. This software checks boxes very well.

Cons

Cost is still a little steep.
Continue to increase flexibility in accessing data.

Pro - Stability. Does everything anyone could need. If it's not there it will be on the next update. There is plenty of support for it. It's been around for a long time and it's reliable. The support is well documented and has a great reputation.
Cons - Errors have been found in the documentation provided by Oracle with guidelines, etc. Oracles salespeople have a reputation of being obnoxious and condescending.

Scenarios where this is best suited are like where there are not large set of data which has to be analyzed and extracted.It helps in the efficiency of data .It is also well suited for medium size companies where you have to create a common data for everyone.
As for large set of data, there can be network latency issues and thus there are some limitations of this software.
