Oracle Database is one of the main DB platforms used at Change Healthcare for business-critical systems. It has been installed on over a hundred servers, sized from a few GB to over 100TB.

- DR and HA
- Versions: introduction of long and short-term versions make it difficult to plan and maintain the databases up to date
- Patches: CPU, PSU, etc. difficult to keep track of and stay with consistent strategy
- Positive: solid db platform for business critical systems
- Negative: significant effort in upgrade and patching
