We use Perplexity for almost everything. To get market insights, understand competitors, compose marketing plan and messaging and suggest edits for content Perplexity is the go-to AI tool for everything. Talking specifically for business problems its AI is so advanced it can give us insights to research papers almost instantly.

I used a personal Perplexity account to complete complex coding tasks last year as part of my role in a learning team. These tasks were not common tasks for a learning design team leader, and included Power BI, Power Automate and other technical programming languages such as DAX. It was a great tool for finding answers across sites, and complex requests.

Likelihood to Recommend

When you need a tool that is great at searching the web, and providing answers across lots of different sources, this is the best tool currently out there. It feels less like ChatGPT, and more like a modern AI version of Google's search engine, providing different results based on what you search/prompt.

Due to compliance reasons it is in general difficult to use AI software to the extent it could be used in theory. It's mainly used for efficiency purposes like summarizing documents, writing and or analyzing emails, creating scripts, generating ideas, writing code for software and for generating pictures and presentation drafts.

Perplexity, as many other AI tools, is able to support an employee with daily work tasks such as analyzing document, webpages or any other information. It can also support writing emails. It can also be used as a sparrings partner. For initial research, AI tools such as Perplexity are perfect to collect first results which can then be followed up in detail.

I create a space in Perplexity, which is essentially a persona that describes my company and what I sell. I also upload collateral for what I sell. Then I query Perplexity with questions relative to prospects I am selling to, using their name, title, and the company they work for.

I think it's excellent for querying how to approach specific prospects based on the persona I created.

We are a team of software developers and architects. We use Perplexity in our organization to assist with coding and development. Many new challenges are faced in our day-to-day coding activities. Perplexity auto-generates codes for a given problem scenario that we modify as per our needs. At times, when we need to improve our code Perprelxity helps in providing a more optimized and polished version of the original code.

Likelihood to Recommend

Perplexity is helpful when you want auto-code generation for day-to-day problem scenarios such as Powershell script to accomplish a task, Code to invoke a REST API, Class generation from JSON/XML data, etc. It is also helpful when you want to correct or optimize code that you have self-written. Perplexity might not be best suited for scenarios when you need 100% accuracy without your self-verification of correctness.
