PostHog is great

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use PostHog for feature flags, which ive used at prior companies as well. We are trying to be able to roll out features to a select number of people at a time. PostHog Feature Flags helps with this, as we can define feature flags, designate what % it will go out to (or specify conditions) and it just works well.

Pros

  • Feature Flags
  • Local Evaluation
  • Analytics
  • Metrics

Cons

  • Better local evaluation somehow

Return on Investment

  • not really any ROI just the ability to safely release features. It provides intangible value.

Does analytics well

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It enables telemetry data tracking for our organization so we are able to understand user behavior, how they are using our platforms, how changes we implement are or are not working, and where to invest further in different places on the platform. It is also not super technical so different types of roles can use it.

Pros

  • Event tracking
  • Access for non-technical folks
  • Clear timelines

Cons

  • A little complicated to navigate

Return on Investment

  • Ease of analyzing changes
