Here at a paint manufacturer company, we use PrinterLogic to sync all of our printers.

Quite easy to manager them on the portable and is incredibly easy to install a new printer onto someone's machine.

Very easy to roll out updates and manage print queues remotely.

The support has been good on the software as well, when we needed anything they came through and supplied anything we needed
  • Cloud Management
  • Installations
  • Syncing
  • Installations here require CMD and some keys
Would not be appropriate for use inside of a small company with only 1 site. We have 9 sites over the UK and if we didn't have PrinterLogic we may need to travel out to each site, I'm sure there are other solutions though.

None the less, the remote control of the printers via the online web portal is great, no complaints there.

Only thing I would say is I wish the initial installation of the software would be a bit more user friendly, as for us we need to open command prompt and use a few commands along with a key to even get it working, I'm not too sure if this is a PrinterLogic thing or an us thing.

We use it to deploy printers to users based on their needs and permissions. It was implemented as a solution to the Microsoft Print Nightmare issue, and meant we could get rid of our Windows print server.
  • Printer deployment
  • Driver management
  • Print profiles customisation
  • Printer access and permissions
  • Some options like SNMP seem to need to be adjusted in several places, making it a bit difficult to manage correctly.
When you have loads of printers, want to lock down printing permissions and options, and only deploy certain printers to certain departments.

We use PrinterLogic to provide an easy solution to install printers on our end users workstations without IT involvement. It has cut down help desk tickets to almost zero when it comes to installing printers. With PrinterLogic handling the installation and our support contract with another vendor to handle the physical problems with the printers, our IT department rarely needs to handle printer requests.
  • Automated printer driver installs
  • The ability for end users to install printers themselves
  • Usage reports and analysis allow us to determine need for supplies and what workload each printer gets.
  • Nothing really, it does exactly what we need it to do.
In our particular situation, we needed a solution that alleviate the amount of support our help desk team was having to attend to. PrinterLogic gave us a solution where our end users were able to install other printers they needed that the role didn't usually need.

We have 1800+ employees so a quick and easy solution for printer deployment is vital. PrinterLogic is the right solution for our needs. As an admin I can quickly add any printers we would like to deploy to the software. Once end users install the required plug-in they can then access any printer in our system. It is just a matter of a simply click of the mouse to install any printers they need without admin credentials or having to know IP addresses. PrinterLogic is a great product that functions as designed very well.
  • easy deployment
  • easy for end users
  • can quickly make changes
  • support for v4 drivers
good for larger companies with multiple sites.

Have 2 main offices and 10+ branch locations and if we were to utilize physical servers the cost would be high. Even routing over IPSEC tunnels would still have issues due to inconsistencies of connections in these locations. The common factor between all places is there is internet so PrinterLogic was cost effective, quick to setup, support is very knowledgeable, and its one spot to add drivers and get statistics from printers (SNMP). It has many features like badges and secure release that allow you to still maintain security. The only thing you have to do is add an agent on your endpoints and then setup to deploy printers based on location or just everything. It has off network print options which give a little versatility. I currently use it with 30+ printers in my network and it has saved our help desk team countless hours of adding printers to individual machines.
  • central management of drivers
  • easy use interface
  • consolidated reporting
  • plotter support
  • SNMPv3 issues with certain vendors
  • more clarity on mobile app troubleshooting

We use PrinterLogic for nearly all printing, though primarily for chromebooks. We are a school so there is a large amount of staff that do all of their printing from chromebooks.
  • Printing from chromebooks
  • Print queue management for chromebooks
  • Listing available printers
  • Is easy to use with chromebooks
  • Chromebook use is fantastic windows use a bit less so
  • PrinterLogic addon for chrome is needed for windows but will throw errors sometimes
PrinterLogic works great for chromebooks and most "normal" printers. The windows support is less good and also it has a hard time with unusual printers. We get alot of printing management options we would not get without PrinterLogic for chromebook printing.

We use PrinterLogic as our main printer management and installer software. We were trying to use Windows Print Services, but it was not offering features we needed and it was not very easy for staff to figure out how to use it. PrinterLogic solved all of these problems and gave us more features than we expected.
  • The install printer page is done very well and customizable.
  • Creating a printer is very easy and quick.
  • Assigning printers and managing access to printers is easy.
  • Authentication via Google or Azure makes logins easy.
  • There really isn't anything major that we've noticed wrong.
  • The biggest thing was we were not able to get the dual authentication working with both Google and Azure at the same time. We ended up having to just pick one.
  • The cost isn't cheap and is maybe a little higher than other options, but it does give you more features than competitors.
We have multiple buildings and staff in multiple buildings. PrinterLogic gives us the ability to let staff choose which building they are in and install printers that they need. We can also push out printers based on IP or other criteria and only allow printers to staff that should have access. It gives us a full range of features and control that we need. The reporting options are also great at tracking paper and toner usage.

We use it to manage print services for our end users. Our main goal was to eliminate the need for a print server while at the same time removing the headaches of deploying printers across our offices. PrinterLogic has freed up time for our helpdesk team to focus on other tasks.
  • Ease of use
  • Easy to setup
  • Improves security
  • UI can look outdated
  • Simple features are behind upgrade package
  • Client can sometimes fail
PrinterLogic is very nice if you are a small business with multiple locations and many different brands of printers. Having one central, cloud based solution has saved us so much time. Instead of managing printers from the web portal of the manufacturer we can manage all of them from one portal.

There were two primary missions we accomplished through the deployment of PrinterLogic: <br><br>First, we wanted to entirely eliminate the need for a Print Server--but we wanted to maintain visibility over the logging from all of our printers in a centralized way. PrinterLogic provided that--and more--in a package that was immaculately easy to swallow. <br><br>Second, we wanted to Future-Proof ourselves, particularly with workloads in setting up new years. As a smaller shop that is moving more towards medium-sized, we want to make sure we can automatically deploy printers to new users, without having to sacrifice the time of our support staff in getting them set up for all devices.
  • Ease of deployment.
  • Simplicity. The portal and end user experience just make sense.
  • Their support staff is amazing. Never once had an issue getting questions answered.
The only time I could see PrinterLogic NOT being applicable to your organization, is if you're a shop of <10 people with a singular printer. Any enterprise-level organization will find this software immensely impactful. The end users love it. Our support staff loves it. Our CFO loves how affordable it is. This is as good as it gets, folks.

As a Business we moved to Chromebooks, but Google then sunsetted Google cloud print, so we needed a truly cloud based Printer solution that worked with Chromebooks, after rolling this out successfully to Chromebooks we have now moved our Laptop estate to this product so that all devices use the same solution.
  • Truly cloud based, unlike many competitors
  • Easy to set up and configure
  • Great user interface
  • Lots of functionality
  • Secure Print release is OK - but the interface could be improved
  • User Interface could do with an update/refresh
  • App could do with a refesh
PrinterLogic works brilliant if you have lots of different types of devices like Chromebooks, laptops mobiles etc as it provides the same experience of printing from all these so there is only one solution to maintain and support and users get familiar with it. This is truly cloud based unlike many competitors.

We used PrinterLogic to eliminate our print servers. After the PrinterNightmare debacle, it became impossible to constantly support printers across our environment, something that is unfortunately required in health care. That PrinterLogic doesn't require servers and can manage multiple physical locations from one single service (hosted by them), solves so many issues from deployment to configuration.

That they also charge per queue instead of by print job/impression was another major factor. When we looked at similar products from other companies, the print job costs were astronomical. PrinterLogic's cost is fair and reasonable.
  • Management of printers
  • Management of drivers
  • Ease of deployment
  • Murders print servers
  • The ChromeOS extension is a bit clunky
I can't think of many situations where it wouldn't be useable. Maybe if you had a bunch of local printers hooked directly to devices in a smaller setting. I know PrinterLogic can manage those to a degree, but it probably wouldn't bring much to the table.

Outside of that anyone looking to get rid of print servers should REALLY look at this product. It's well designed and cost effective. I don't understand how they're not a DeFacto standard at this point.

deploying printers and changes to printers to many computers for multiple clients. It saves a lot of time rather than manually deploying printers to new computers or when changing printer settings and having to deploy to every computer individually. Our clients are about 20-30 users. Theres about 3 printers in each location.
  • printer deployment
  • deploying changes to print queues
  • printer managment
  • billing in AUD
  • tracking print jobs
we run an AYCE MSP, so every bit of time saved is a good thing. PrinterLogic allows us to save a lot of time for clients that like to move around, change printers or have users that move between sites frequently. The customers that dont move around much, its useful for inital deployment of a printer, but then after that, it doesnt make sense to keep using PL for them as we keep paying monthly for the printer queue but really its not doing anything.

PrinterLogic has worked great and has solved a lot of headaches that we had with our and our customer's printers prior. We plan to keep deploying this to clients as an easy printing solution. Out of all the vendors and applications we've viewed in the past, we've never had a product work so seamlessly right off the bat. We would highly recommend others look into this solution as well.
  • Printing off network.
  • Printing to multiple printers through a network.
  • Ease of driver installation/deployment.
  • There's a lot going on which can be overwhelming but isn't a horrible thing.
I love the product it's worked great for easy deployment to ourselves and our clients and is super easy to re-add if you ever needed too. I can't say enough good things, and we've only scratched the service of all the features they offer.

We use PrinterLogic to track printing statistics across our environment. It really helped us control the amount of printing, reduce the number of devices, find the devices that were costing us the most money, and replace them. It has proved very easy to set up and manage.
  • Monitors statistics.
  • Controls print volumes.
  • Reduces cost.
  • Nothing that I can think of.
If a company is not fully aware of its print volumes and the costs associated, this could be costing them thousands of dollars or much more every month. Even knowing whether users are printing color or black and white helps. With this information companies can justify getting more expensive devices with lower cost per copy prices so they win on cost and functionality.

We utilize PrinterLogic to promote secure printing solutions and simplistic availability for other network printers. This allows us to migrate away from traditional print servers and GPOs to provide a more straightforward method of connecting and managing copiers in our organization. Managing hundreds of copiers for thousands of users becomes trivial once the machines have been configured.
  • Copier management on user's machines.
  • Organization of available copiers in an easy to view methodology.
  • SNMP status reporting as a quick insight to operational status.
  • Allowing the import of already implemented badges without the need to have users specifically register their badges while still giving users the option to register via PrinterLogic's DB.
  • Give administrators the ability to manage how the CPA options are used. If PrinterLogic is on a machine, we want to be able to specify what happens on the successful scan. Ex. Scan badge, automatically bring to the Release/Scan to Email screen. Not scan, select App, then finally go to the Release/Scan page.
  • Give the option to have the CPA immediately trigger on the scan. I am opposed to specifically changing items on the copier to give a cheap feel to a great solution.
  • PrinterLogic is promoted as serverless but still requires a connector to be installed on a centralized machine; thus, it is still forced to use a "server."
  • Using iDP credentials as opposed to local machine user accounts constantly reverts back to the local user profile even though they're showing as logged in via iDP, preventing successful print jobs.
  • Configuring copier finisher settings are hit or miss. We can use the exact same settings for the same model copier in a different location and have wildly different results.
  • PrinterLogic, as a SaaS, constantly has an outage, preventing the use of the product until PrinterLogic's team resolves the issue. They are forcing the thought of returning to self-hosted solutions purely for uptime.
Users traveling to other locations can install new copiers as needed. Managing copiers by OU/group allows end users to manage them based on their needs without an administrator needing to step in. Situations, when PrinterLogic hangs on the "server" where we must either reboot the server or attempt to restart the service, where restarting the service, may not relaunch afterward.

Printerlogic does not put a reliance on a server on premise. We no longer need a print server in our branches that are solely there for the purpose of print services reducing the cost of tin. Central cloud admin management makes it simple to set up new printers and manage printing requirements in one place for all branches. Once the agent is installed on the node it is simple to choose printer required and link to it for printing needs. It works for any make model or type, be it a desk top printer or copier. Sharing printer access across networks is simple to implement using remote support.
  • Central administration
  • Easy deployment
  • Quick set up
  • Reliable cloud services
  • Works seamlessly with our new ERP
  • Nothing comes to mind
Where IT resources are limited or a business is lacking in-house IT support. Once set up, average users should be able to use it reasonably easily.

PrinterLogic has been a game-changer for my company. With its intuitive interface and seamless integration, managing printers has never been easier. Print Nightmare and the fix involved caused our IT staff a ton of trouble, and this makes it a thing of the past. The ability to centrally manage and deploy printers from the Cloud has saved us so much time. Plus, the self-service printer installation feature empowers our users, reducing IT support tickets (again, especially with Print Nightmare involved).
The product implementation was super simple, and I even turned down several offers from PrinterLogic's team for additional support to do it myself. I had one question, and they immediately hopped on a meeting with me and tackled it. Honestly, since the Implementation of PrinterLogic, I haven't been in the portal but to move a printer icon from one floor to another. It practically runs itself, with very low maintenance involved.
Overall, PrinterLogic has simplified our printing infrastructure tenfold, and vastly improved efficiency for both our users and IT staff. Highly recommended!
  • Employee-driven Self Service printer installations
  • Eliminate the need for Print Servers
  • Enable printing from the cloud without a need for VPN connectivity
  • O365 SSO Login
  • Improve the Print Driver catalog
  • Add support for Version 4 print drivers
SMBs that do not have time to maintain print servers, spoolers, etc. PrinterLogic is perfect for the IT staff that want to offer cloud printing without a need for additional infrastructure without having to maintain additional systems. The only thing that you need is a Virtual Machine or PC that can reach the printers to host the main application and a network connection!

We use PrinterLogic to manage our printer deployment for 200+ end users spread out over 5 offices. Setting up PrinterLogic has allowed us to retire a very old print server, a key component of upgrading security and improving our office infrastructure. PrinterLogic also has improved the end user experience for easily connecting and staying connected to our printers.
  • allows us to centrally manage and deploy drivers
  • the utility gives a fairly uniform cross platform experience for connecting printers
  • we can more consistently keep end users set up with the proper settings
  • PrinterLogic has FABULOUS support and their reps have helped me solve issues that were not even directly related to PrinterLogic
  • The setup process, though well supported by Printerlogic engineers, was tedious
  • I needed to create a long install guide for our end users
This is a great tool for the real estate industry. We have 150+ individual agents who all provide their own computers. This gives one central path for connecting to printers. It's scalable and easy to administrate. I could see it being very useful in healthcare, education, really any medium to large network infrastructure.

PrinterLogic is used to manage Printers remotely at client sites by Technicians.
  • The PrinterLogic Portal Displays all the printers at client sites.
  • PrinterLogic team and staff is very customer service oriented and helpful.
  • PrinterLogic accounting and monthly invoicing is transparent and easy to follow.
  • PrinterLogic specializes in the management of Printers and can't think of areas where improvement is needed.
  • PrinterLogic could add computers and other devices to the service in the future.
  • PrinterLogic could add more data fields to the profile of Printer devices to track elements of the Printer asset, such as purchase price.
PrinterLogic is well suited for the remote management of Printers at various locations, cases where an Information Technology technician manages them, more than one technician is involved, and there are several locations with printers.

We have a lot of remote offices and people that move between them. By having all printers accessible via a self-service portal, we have dramatically freed up help desk time and sped up life for users with their need to print in a new location. Especially with tighter security, which can complicate the installation of new printers, having everything available in an intuitive interface leads to satisfaction on both sides: the IT side and the user side.
  • Simple interface.
  • Simple deployment.
  • Great support.
  • The ability to create Mac printers without a Mac.
PrinterLogic is very well suited for companies that have few or many remote offices, especially those companies that have remote locations in combination with staff that travel between locations. These remote locations often lack IT support, and when users need to print, the need is immediate -- so increasing the speed by which users can do what they want is highly beneficial.

We use PrinterLogic to administer and map all 150 printers spread across each of our 6 sites. Our scope includes production & manufacturing as well as office administration. The challenges we faced before implementing PrinterLogic were an inconsistent user experience when mapping via traditional Windows print server. Connectivity issues at remote locations were due to traversing an unreliable MPLS circuit to send the print jobs to a print server than back to the physical print device on location. We needed a solution to allow users to print directly via IP to the print device in physical proximity but without the headache of singular user mappings at the device level. With PrinterLogic we were able to set up default profiles for each device, organize them by location, and allow the users to easily map and use each device. Print jobs became consistent. Speed of print jobs sent to devices were drastically improved due to the core architecture of printing directly via IP without a print server. Monitoring of our printer inventory became much less of a hassle as we now could proactively receive usage reports as well as printer supply warnings.
  • Ease of use. UI is well designed
  • Core architecture, printing via IP is reliable
  • Administration of devices and profiles
  • Importing from old print server into PrinterLogic is a simple process
  • MacOS usage. The plugin requires specific browser usage and is not clearly defined what will work and what will not. It was a lot of trial and error to find a consistent solution for our end users.
PrinterLogic is best suited for industrial and office locations where printing reliability must be at the highest level. The ease of setup, core design using IP mapping and administration is why PrinterLogic is highly recommended. We have had the best experience with Windows devices printing to general office printers as well as Zebra label printers of all sizes. Adding a printer via the client is fast and easy, with a few caveats on the MacOS side. The client requires a bit more setup for Macs and is more particular about which web browser is the default.

As with every IT department, printers are among the top contributors to wasting staff resources on managing printer assignments to users and devices. When your options are to manually do it or use half-baked GPO solutions carried over from the last decade, fight over limitations from Microsoft's PrintNightmare security "fix," or roll it under large infrastructure software platforms for management, you're not left with much in the way of a good solution. After much research and testing the product, we went with PrinterLogic, which has delivered as advertised with a hand-off cloud-based printer management solution. As a manufacturing facility, we average up to 25 desktop and label printers across our facility, which is about the recommended starting number to get the best value from PrinterLogic. Since putting PrinterLogic into production a little over a year ago, my team retired our print servers and deleted all our old GPOs; there has not been a single complaint over printer issues, no messing with convoluted printer scripts, and users have been free to install the correct IT provisioned drivers themselves. The product is straightforward to use and fully featured, with more options than I can cover here. But, it works as promised, a rarity in this industry.
  • Automatic Printer Assignment.
  • Driver Provisioning.
  • Remote Printing.
  • Administrator UIX Streamlining.
I highly recommend this solution if you're running a Windows domain with print servers and at least 25+ print devices. If you slightly fall under those recommendations, it's still worth a look or talk with PrinterLogic reps, depending on your case. The only drawback may be requiring another "agent" program on your desktops vs. "native" GPO or script solutions used in the past. Still, given Microsoft has shown no inclination over the last couple of decades to improve printer management for enterprises, I can safely say this is one of the top decisions you need to make and should make for your business.

We chose PrinterLogic primarily to improve our methods for assigning MFPs (roughly 25) in different locations (15), to staff members (500+). The assignment by AD OU, or by individual or security group has made that process much more efficient. Since rollout, we have found that the profiling and printing controls have added even more utility. With less or no reliance on file &amp; print satellite servers, I have decreased costs to the point that PrinterLogic has more than paid for itself. Some minor problems here and there, but nothing we haven't been able to resolve. Absolutely recommend the product.
  • Simplifies printer allocation
  • Simplifies print driver update/change
  • An occasional glitch installing the agent or authorizing an employee.
Printer Logic delivers exactly what it promises. If you have printer/print server complications, Printer Logic will make your life easier.
