PrinterLogic allows us to automate the assignment of printers to employees based on Active Directory OU or group membership. It also allows us to add new printers easier than with a print server.
  • Cloud based printer managment
  • Assign printers based on AD OU or group membership
  • Securely manger printers
  • When adding a new printer, sometime it can take a while before it appears on someone's computer that has it assigned to them.
Anyone that wants to get rid of an on-premise print server should look at this product. It completely replaces the old print server and enables automated printer assignment.

PrinterLogic works great in our environment! PrinterLogic has made our job on the back end of IT so much easier as it allows for our front end users to set up and manage printers on their own. We love the server-less remote printer management!! No cons whatsoever!
  • server-less remote printer management
  • less frustrating for end users
  • less time consuming for back end users
  • no improvement

All network printing uses the PrinterLogic software to establish printing connections between our devices and our printers/copiers. This is also how drivers are installed and updated. Offnetwork printing is setup and enabled on a few of our printers.
  • Printer driver deployment and updating
  • Adding/removing printers using network groups
  • Remote printing for remote staff
  • Not a huge fan of browser extension based deployment but it does work.
We were dealing with the MS print nightmare bugs and struggling to deploy printers. PrinterLogic was quick to setup a demo with very knowledgeable staff helping through and minor issues we had. Using PrinterLogic added simple remote printing when we need it and has been a very easy tool to use.

We had a need to assign printers and assign users default printers using VLAN/Subnet/IP ranges, as well as assign printers by Active Directory groups and even users. PrinterLogic allows us to do both of these... PrinterLogic makes setting up printers easy on the administrative side, and it makes adding printers extremely easy for the end user. It's very nice that I can simply send a URL in an email to an end user that will automatically add a printer for a user for special printing requests. The web layout of adding Printers on the end user side is extremely easy to navigate.
  • Automatic printer assignments by SEVERAL methods!
  • Adding and configuring printers is quick and easy!
  • Adding printers on the end user side is SIMPLE!
  • Their support is QUICK and helpful!
  • PrinterLogic Cloud needs ports open on our firewall to work with our onsite Active Directory domain. It would be nice if this could be done with some kind of agent or software, rather than punching holes in the firewall.
If you have users that go from branch to branch, location to location, etc and wish to assign printers based on their "location" you can do this with automatic printer assignment by VLAN/Subnet. You can have PrinterLogic assign as many printers as you want based on Subnet's/VLAN's/IP Address(es), and you can have it set which of those you want to be your default.

We use PrinterLogic securely to print client data. We use it so end users can print confidentially to any printer they are connected to in an office via IP address. It makes it very secure so end users cannot print documents remotely so client data is just not sitting on the printer where others who are not handling a specific client do not see that information.
  • Setup of printers
  • Adding multiple locations
  • ease of seeing print documents.
  • ease of adding printers
It is best suited for companies that have multiple offices and need to manage multiple offices. This can be used for companies with not a lot of footprint as well.

We have deployed PrinterLogic in our company for over the past 6 years. We were tired of the centralized Windows print server and issues that came along with it. We started with the on prem server and have since moved to the Cloud instance of PrinterLogic. This has been such and easy way to manage our printers, printer rollouts and dynamic way of adding printers for when people travel to our other offices. The product has worked flawlessly for us and is really a set and forget service unless we are adding a new printer or updating drivers. When our employees log in for the first time all the printers are added automagically based on their group membership and region they are located. We have no plans to change service or even look for other services due to the great customer support and service. It is a valued product in our environment.
  • Adding printers based on AD group membership
  • customer support is very attentive and fast
  • no printer issues for us any longer with stuck print server queues
  • It just works
  • In the early days some of the features were a little buggy but over the last couple of years I can't think of anything we need improved in particular.
The solution for us has just been flawless. After dealing with Microsoft Print server and things hanging and print driver issues and install issues we trialed PrinterLogic and have not looked back since. The printing just works as you would think it should. We don't use alot of the features the software can provide as for our case it's not particularly needed. But we plan on exploring the mobile print a little further in the future.

We use PrinterLogic as a replacement for traditional Windows print servers. I was in charge of selecting and implementing it, and I managed it. Our main goal was to get away from managing on-prem Windows print servers. PrinterLogic allowed us to accomplish that goal very easily and included several nice additional features.
  • Easy to implement.
  • Easy to manage.
  • Easy for end users to navigate.
  • Nice modern cloud-based printing solution.
  • It is not a criticism of the solution but a recommendation. Understand how profiles work before you roll out.
It is a great modern alternative to on-prem Windows print servers. It is straightforward to implement and manage and easy for end users to navigate. It is cloud-based, so internet access is needed but not constantly required after implementation. The only other use case that might not work well is if you have a very high number of printers, although they might have a new licensing model based on users, so this might not be as much of a factor now.

This product reduces our reliability on physical servers. In turn, this also reduces our licensing, storage, and maintenance costs and simplifies printer installs for our employees.
  • Converts server share printer name to direct IP address printing.
  • Easily connects to on-prem print servers to capture existing print drivers, IP addresses, and printer profiles.
  • Users can easily map new printers by clicking the printer object on floor plan maps.
  • Cross platform printer installs makes this product a winner.
  • Installing postscript drivers is not currently supported.
Reducing potential vulnerability footprint is where this product shines most of all. Additionally, the ease of converting the printer objects for different OS platforms is what makes this product the best option for businesses that utilize Windows, MacOS, Linux, etc. Deploying the agent to devices is easily accomplished by Microsoft Configuration Manager, Intune, JamF, or other systems management solutions.

Many of our campuses utilize the printers in their day-to-day activities, we use PrinterLogic to allow all of the teachers and faculty to print their documents and work for the students. PrinterLogic makes it easy to keep everyone updated and allows our users to easily add the printers and remove them when they do and don't need them.
  • Easy to update
  • Quick and simple download
  • Clear organization
  • The UI with the folders/subfolders can get a bit cluttered when there are multiple printers in a folder.
We have our printers be serviced often since there are numerous campuses and many issues can arise, for example a paper jam or a printer error, this can lead to the printer updating and changing the IP or being replaced, PrinterLogic allows us to quickly update the printers in the system so that we can ensure they can printer as soon as possible

We implemented PrinterLogic to replace a number of Windows print servers being used across our 4 locations. Add PrinterLogic removed the need for multiple print servers at each of these locations. Furthermore, it enabled our users to manage their own printers without administrator access required. This is a significant weight off of our relatively small Help Desk team. We've been able to provide simple instructions and let the users manage things on their own. This has been a huge help to the organization.
  • Ease of use - even non-tech savvy users have been able to manage their own printers.
  • Easy to implement.
  • Relatively easy to administrate.
  • More advanced printing options; as a law firm, we may have niche/specific needs, but we're still learning.
PrinterLogic is well suited to larger IT environments that currently use on-premises printer servers for management purposes. I could see a small-to-medium-sized business in a single location where a single print server would be a simpler solution than rolling out PrinterLogic. The process to migrate printers from multiple Windows Print Servers was a bit challenging but ultimately worth the time spent.

Here at a paint manufacturer company, we use PrinterLogic to sync all of our printers.

Quite easy to manager them on the portable and is incredibly easy to install a new printer onto someone's machine.

Very easy to roll out updates and manage print queues remotely.

The support has been good on the software as well, when we needed anything they came through and supplied anything we needed
  • Cloud Management
  • Installations
  • Syncing
  • Installations here require CMD and some keys
Would not be appropriate for use inside of a small company with only 1 site. We have 9 sites over the UK and if we didn't have PrinterLogic we may need to travel out to each site, I'm sure there are other solutions though.

None the less, the remote control of the printers via the online web portal is great, no complaints there.

Only thing I would say is I wish the initial installation of the software would be a bit more user friendly, as for us we need to open command prompt and use a few commands along with a key to even get it working, I'm not too sure if this is a PrinterLogic thing or an us thing.

We use it to deploy printers to users based on their needs and permissions. It was implemented as a solution to the Microsoft Print Nightmare issue, and meant we could get rid of our Windows print server.
  • Printer deployment
  • Driver management
  • Print profiles customisation
  • Printer access and permissions
  • Some options like SNMP seem to need to be adjusted in several places, making it a bit difficult to manage correctly.
When you have loads of printers, want to lock down printing permissions and options, and only deploy certain printers to certain departments.

We use PrinterLogic to provide an easy solution to install printers on our end users workstations without IT involvement. It has cut down help desk tickets to almost zero when it comes to installing printers. With PrinterLogic handling the installation and our support contract with another vendor to handle the physical problems with the printers, our IT department rarely needs to handle printer requests.
  • Automated printer driver installs
  • The ability for end users to install printers themselves
  • Usage reports and analysis allow us to determine need for supplies and what workload each printer gets.
  • Nothing really, it does exactly what we need it to do.
In our particular situation, we needed a solution that alleviate the amount of support our help desk team was having to attend to. PrinterLogic gave us a solution where our end users were able to install other printers they needed that the role didn't usually need.

We have 1800+ employees so a quick and easy solution for printer deployment is vital. PrinterLogic is the right solution for our needs. As an admin I can quickly add any printers we would like to deploy to the software. Once end users install the required plug-in they can then access any printer in our system. It is just a matter of a simply click of the mouse to install any printers they need without admin credentials or having to know IP addresses. PrinterLogic is a great product that functions as designed very well.
  • easy deployment
  • easy for end users
  • can quickly make changes
  • support for v4 drivers
good for larger companies with multiple sites.

Have 2 main offices and 10+ branch locations and if we were to utilize physical servers the cost would be high. Even routing over IPSEC tunnels would still have issues due to inconsistencies of connections in these locations. The common factor between all places is there is internet so PrinterLogic was cost effective, quick to setup, support is very knowledgeable, and its one spot to add drivers and get statistics from printers (SNMP). It has many features like badges and secure release that allow you to still maintain security. The only thing you have to do is add an agent on your endpoints and then setup to deploy printers based on location or just everything. It has off network print options which give a little versatility. I currently use it with 30+ printers in my network and it has saved our help desk team countless hours of adding printers to individual machines.
  • central management of drivers
  • easy use interface
  • consolidated reporting
  • plotter support
  • SNMPv3 issues with certain vendors
  • more clarity on mobile app troubleshooting
Central management of drivers
collection of logs from SNMP
guest pull printing
app is supported for mobile devices
so much to say but best to ask the experts at Vaison

We use PrinterLogic for nearly all printing, though primarily for chromebooks. We are a school so there is a large amount of staff that do all of their printing from chromebooks.
  • Printing from chromebooks
  • Print queue management for chromebooks
  • Listing available printers
  • Is easy to use with chromebooks
  • Chromebook use is fantastic windows use a bit less so
  • PrinterLogic addon for chrome is needed for windows but will throw errors sometimes
PrinterLogic works great for chromebooks and most "normal" printers. The windows support is less good and also it has a hard time with unusual printers. We get alot of printing management options we would not get without PrinterLogic for chromebook printing.

We use PrinterLogic as our main printer management and installer software. We were trying to use Windows Print Services, but it was not offering features we needed and it was not very easy for staff to figure out how to use it. PrinterLogic solved all of these problems and gave us more features than we expected.
  • The install printer page is done very well and customizable.
  • Creating a printer is very easy and quick.
  • Assigning printers and managing access to printers is easy.
  • Authentication via Google or Azure makes logins easy.
  • There really isn't anything major that we've noticed wrong.
  • The biggest thing was we were not able to get the dual authentication working with both Google and Azure at the same time. We ended up having to just pick one.
  • The cost isn't cheap and is maybe a little higher than other options, but it does give you more features than competitors.
We have multiple buildings and staff in multiple buildings. PrinterLogic gives us the ability to let staff choose which building they are in and install printers that they need. We can also push out printers based on IP or other criteria and only allow printers to staff that should have access. It gives us a full range of features and control that we need. The reporting options are also great at tracking paper and toner usage.

We use it to manage print services for our end users. Our main goal was to eliminate the need for a print server while at the same time removing the headaches of deploying printers across our offices. PrinterLogic has freed up time for our helpdesk team to focus on other tasks.
  • Ease of use
  • Easy to setup
  • Improves security
  • UI can look outdated
  • Simple features are behind upgrade package
  • Client can sometimes fail
PrinterLogic is very nice if you are a small business with multiple locations and many different brands of printers. Having one central, cloud based solution has saved us so much time. Instead of managing printers from the web portal of the manufacturer we can manage all of them from one portal.

There were two primary missions we accomplished through the deployment of PrinterLogic: <br><br>First, we wanted to entirely eliminate the need for a Print Server--but we wanted to maintain visibility over the logging from all of our printers in a centralized way. PrinterLogic provided that--and more--in a package that was immaculately easy to swallow. <br><br>Second, we wanted to Future-Proof ourselves, particularly with workloads in setting up new years. As a smaller shop that is moving more towards medium-sized, we want to make sure we can automatically deploy printers to new users, without having to sacrifice the time of our support staff in getting them set up for all devices.
  • Ease of deployment.
  • Simplicity. The portal and end user experience just make sense.
  • Their support staff is amazing. Never once had an issue getting questions answered.
The only time I could see PrinterLogic NOT being applicable to your organization, is if you're a shop of <10 people with a singular printer. Any enterprise-level organization will find this software immensely impactful. The end users love it. Our support staff loves it. Our CFO loves how affordable it is. This is as good as it gets, folks.

As a Business we moved to Chromebooks, but Google then sunsetted Google cloud print, so we needed a truly cloud based Printer solution that worked with Chromebooks, after rolling this out successfully to Chromebooks we have now moved our Laptop estate to this product so that all devices use the same solution.
  • Truly cloud based, unlike many competitors
  • Easy to set up and configure
  • Great user interface
  • Lots of functionality
  • Secure Print release is OK - but the interface could be improved
  • User Interface could do with an update/refresh
  • App could do with a refesh
PrinterLogic works brilliant if you have lots of different types of devices like Chromebooks, laptops mobiles etc as it provides the same experience of printing from all these so there is only one solution to maintain and support and users get familiar with it. This is truly cloud based unlike many competitors.

We used PrinterLogic to eliminate our print servers. After the PrinterNightmare debacle, it became impossible to constantly support printers across our environment, something that is unfortunately required in health care. That PrinterLogic doesn't require servers and can manage multiple physical locations from one single service (hosted by them), solves so many issues from deployment to configuration.

That they also charge per queue instead of by print job/impression was another major factor. When we looked at similar products from other companies, the print job costs were astronomical. PrinterLogic's cost is fair and reasonable.
  • Management of printers
  • Management of drivers
  • Ease of deployment
  • Murders print servers
  • The ChromeOS extension is a bit clunky
I can't think of many situations where it wouldn't be useable. Maybe if you had a bunch of local printers hooked directly to devices in a smaller setting. I know PrinterLogic can manage those to a degree, but it probably wouldn't bring much to the table.

Outside of that anyone looking to get rid of print servers should REALLY look at this product. It's well designed and cost effective. I don't understand how they're not a DeFacto standard at this point.

deploying printers and changes to printers to many computers for multiple clients. It saves a lot of time rather than manually deploying printers to new computers or when changing printer settings and having to deploy to every computer individually. Our clients are about 20-30 users. Theres about 3 printers in each location.
  • printer deployment
  • deploying changes to print queues
  • printer managment
  • billing in AUD
  • tracking print jobs
we run an AYCE MSP, so every bit of time saved is a good thing. PrinterLogic allows us to save a lot of time for clients that like to move around, change printers or have users that move between sites frequently. The customers that dont move around much, its useful for inital deployment of a printer, but then after that, it doesnt make sense to keep using PL for them as we keep paying monthly for the printer queue but really its not doing anything.

PrinterLogic has worked great and has solved a lot of headaches that we had with our and our customer's printers prior. We plan to keep deploying this to clients as an easy printing solution. Out of all the vendors and applications we've viewed in the past, we've never had a product work so seamlessly right off the bat. We would highly recommend others look into this solution as well.
  • Printing off network.
  • Printing to multiple printers through a network.
  • Ease of driver installation/deployment.
  • There's a lot going on which can be overwhelming but isn't a horrible thing.
I love the product it's worked great for easy deployment to ourselves and our clients and is super easy to re-add if you ever needed too. I can't say enough good things, and we've only scratched the service of all the features they offer.

We use PrinterLogic to track printing statistics across our environment. It really helped us control the amount of printing, reduce the number of devices, find the devices that were costing us the most money, and replace them. It has proved very easy to set up and manage.
  • Monitors statistics.
  • Controls print volumes.
  • Reduces cost.
  • Nothing that I can think of.
If a company is not fully aware of its print volumes and the costs associated, this could be costing them thousands of dollars or much more every month. Even knowing whether users are printing color or black and white helps. With this information companies can justify getting more expensive devices with lower cost per copy prices so they win on cost and functionality.

We utilize PrinterLogic to promote secure printing solutions and simplistic availability for other network printers. This allows us to migrate away from traditional print servers and GPOs to provide a more straightforward method of connecting and managing copiers in our organization. Managing hundreds of copiers for thousands of users becomes trivial once the machines have been configured.
  • Copier management on user's machines.
  • Organization of available copiers in an easy to view methodology.
  • SNMP status reporting as a quick insight to operational status.
  • Allowing the import of already implemented badges without the need to have users specifically register their badges while still giving users the option to register via PrinterLogic's DB.
  • Give administrators the ability to manage how the CPA options are used. If PrinterLogic is on a machine, we want to be able to specify what happens on the successful scan. Ex. Scan badge, automatically bring to the Release/Scan to Email screen. Not scan, select App, then finally go to the Release/Scan page.
  • Give the option to have the CPA immediately trigger on the scan. I am opposed to specifically changing items on the copier to give a cheap feel to a great solution.
  • PrinterLogic is promoted as serverless but still requires a connector to be installed on a centralized machine; thus, it is still forced to use a "server."
  • Using iDP credentials as opposed to local machine user accounts constantly reverts back to the local user profile even though they're showing as logged in via iDP, preventing successful print jobs.
  • Configuring copier finisher settings are hit or miss. We can use the exact same settings for the same model copier in a different location and have wildly different results.
  • PrinterLogic, as a SaaS, constantly has an outage, preventing the use of the product until PrinterLogic's team resolves the issue. They are forcing the thought of returning to self-hosted solutions purely for uptime.
Users traveling to other locations can install new copiers as needed. Managing copiers by OU/group allows end users to manage them based on their needs without an administrator needing to step in. Situations, when PrinterLogic hangs on the "server" where we must either reboot the server or attempt to restart the service, where restarting the service, may not relaunch afterward.
