Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We are a family start-up business that knew little about bookkeeping. QuickBooks was recommended by a fellow business owner as fairly easy to learn and use. We purchased QB, and I learned the basics through tutorials and by asking questions; after a brief period, I was up and running. That is not to say I didn't make mistakes, but they were easy to correct when our accountant found them. After a few months of getting comfortable doing the day-to-day bookkeeping, I was able to teach my husband some basic entries so he could do them in my absence.QuickBooks made it much easier to do our year-end taxes because I could just give him reports to work from rather than all the receipts and invoices we accumulated throughout the year. Now we just give our accountant access into our books and he can look at them quarterly and help us make correction (yes, we still make some mistakes). QuickBooks not only helps us with our taxes, but we can also use it to make budget decisions, price our services to ensure profit, and compare profit and loss over the years. To say Quickbooks has solved many of our problem is an understatement....now we are spending more time providing a service for customers rather than trying to organize our books.
