Describe how you use RemotePC in your organization. What are the business problems the product addresses and what is the scope of your use case?

From 8 reviews | Last Published May 27, 2026

RemotePC is primarily utilized by organizations to facilitate remote access to office computers and resources, a use case cited by 7 of 8 reviewers. This addresses the business problem of enabling employees to work from home or access specific applications and files only available on office machines. While a significant driver for adoption is its cost-effectiveness, with 4 of 8 reviewers noting it as a more affordable alternative to competitors like TeamViewer, user experience is mixed. Reviewers report that setup is straightforward and the product generally functions as advertised. However, half of the reviewers discussing performance raised concerns about latency and issues with key combination translations, particularly between macOS and Windows, which can impede productivity. RemotePC - Worth Every Cent.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

In the office, we use RemotePC. We have days when we work from home on our own computers, but there are also times when programs we need to access are only available on computers at the office. Personally, I have a Mac computer, and use a program that only works on Windows-based computers. I can log in from home or the office, use the Windows-based program, and access it on my Mac via RemotePC. If I am out of the office, I can remote into my office computer and print documents the office may need, or my clients might need, without being at the actual office.

Pros

  • Connectivity is extremely useful.
  • Fast and reliable.
  • Easy to use.

Cons

  • I wish there was a way to copy and paste from one computer to another.

Likelihood to Recommend

Office settings where people are remote or part-time remote. As well as settings where someone may need to remote into another computer in the office for training or supervision, etc.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

RemotePC is used as a source to can access to my office computer. I have a check reader/scanner attached to my office PC and it can only be used by my office computer. I am able to login and have someone run the checks through the reader and I am able to complete the deposit remotely.

Pros

  • Ability to have RemotePC on multiple computers
  • Secure password to login easily
  • Access and control my office computer with ease.

Cons

  • Having a short cut to transfer files
  • Improved authentication ability
  • Print at local printer from remote computer

Likelihood to Recommend

Being able to use my office computer from any other computer with the RemotePC software seamlessly. Having the ability to control and access software and hardware just like working from my office computer. On the other side, the printing capabilities can be improved to allow for better remote printing. Otherwise the system works very well.

Pros

  • Simple Connection
  • Works quickly
  • Good value at present

Worked perfectly without fuss up to now. Also got this a lot cheaper than the prices quoted on here for the first year and it is great value for money, however, I will have to review this when the discounted period is up.

I BELIEVE IT DOES NOT WORK

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

RemotePC did not work for me. I installed it to access a Mac Mini M4, OSX Sequoia 15.2 from a Dell Precision 7550 with Windows 11. I feel the latency is unacceptable. It takes 2 to 5 seconds for what I type in the remote Windows laptop to get to the Mac Mini. It's impossible to work remotely, which is what I expected and needed to do. I would not recommend it, and would not purchase it again.

Pros

  • Easy installation
  • Easy connection

Cons

  • Unacceptable latency.

Likelihood to Recommend

In my experience, I can't think of any, because it's impossible to work remotely.

Going back to competitors after 2 weeks

Rating: 6 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use RemotePC on MacOS to reach my Windows computer at the office. Me and my wife use medical software which runs only on Windows. I previously used TeamViewer and AnyDesk, but tried RemotePC due to much lower price. After 2 weeks I know I need to go back to AnyDesk. My wife's prefers using free AnyDesk than premium RemotePC, because of lack of essential settings. The most important thing for us is sending key combinations - e.x ALT + F4. Checking "send combinations" button doesn't change anything. I mean it makes change, but none of two is working as should. Another

Con: total lack of key translation between macOS and Windows.
Using key combinations speeds up our work 2-3x times in software we use. If you only use RemotePC to help your family with some basic operating system issues this app will be OK.

Pros

  • installation process
  • additional web-based access

Cons

  • long waiting time to initiate connection compare to competitors
  • total lack of keyboard translation between macOS - Windows. No keyboard configuration options at all. I don't recommend macOS users, and non-english keyboard layout users.
  • Key combination transfer doesn't work or behaves strange

Likelihood to Recommend

Good for home users - e.x helping Your parents to deal with some base issues.

There is a need to connect to desktops while remote. After trying a number of applications, we found RemotePC. It works exactly as advertised. The setup was easy, unlike some of the other apps tested.

We use RemotePC daily and it not only meets our needs, but exceeds our expectations. I highly recommend RemotePC to anyone that has a need for remote access to their computers.

Pros

  • Easy connection
  • Installation is a breeze
  • Instructions and tutorials are well written
  • Very price competitive

Cons

  • None that I have found

Likelihood to Recommend

The ability to access computers remotely is where RemotePC is the perfect solution.

RemotePC - Great alternative to Teamviewer

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

i was using Teamviewer to do a few remote tasks remotely, but I felt the price was too much for what i was using it for. I needed 3-5 connections for my account to access my work pc from my laptop and my phone. I use it to access my work pc because I have programs on it that i need to use, plus some files on our server.

Pros

  • remote access to my work pc
  • works fast
  • simple interface
  • easy to manage account

Cons

  • improved phone to pc access
  • when using multiple screens, have them show up on all screens rather than switching screens

Likelihood to Recommend

well suited to access my work pc anywhere. It has quick speeds and works great. On my phone its hard to use it effectively because of the phone screen size, but thats more a limitation of phone size rather than the program. I am thinking of using a larger tablet to access my pc though.

RemotePC for personal use, and productivity

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use RemotePC to connect to my home server where I have setup test and development system as well as control and monitor home automation. Key reasons I prefer this product- 1) Security - 2 Factor, and OTP 2) Extremely easy to setup 3) seamless performance, to date it is as I am sitting local to my system. 4) Value - With the experience I've had with this product the price is more than justified.

Pros

  • Easy setup, Within minutes of Installation I was up and running
  • Security - OTP 2-Factor authentication, passed security testing.
  • Performance - Though I have not fully pushed the boundary it performs as if I was sitting at my desk at home from an Android tablet in the parking lot of work.
  • Value - We all have taken a gamble when buying a product. This is one of the purchases that I am actually happy with. It is a great value for what you get.

Cons

  • I honestly cannot think of even one thing to improve.. Everything I was looking for in a remote desktop solution RemotePC provides.

Likelihood to Recommend

Based on my experience Home office, Corporate remote administration, and those traveling with low tech small form factor.
Less appropriate - Gaming and video streaming. This is a weakness from a technology standpoint and not a product standpoint.
