The Financial Services Cloud from Salesforce is used to create customized experiences for users and customers, and get information at the right to improve productivity and satisfaction. The vendor states that wealth management advisors can use the CRM’s ability to better understand and address client needs, building fruitful client relationships. Retail, mortgage, and commercial bankers can get a complete customer view when and where they need it. In insurance, users of the financial services CRM can craft personalized communication across all channels and devices for more meaningful customer interactions.

Manage client subscriptions, plan renewals, organize cashflows.
Since we have multiple clients in a business to business relationship, it is hard to keep track of each renewal process. Similarly, we customize our subscriptions, so we have client that pay monthly, yearly, or 1-time basis period. Lastly, the payments are done in multiple currencies, and we are subject to FX risk.

Pros

  • The IU is really great, in my opinion, other vendors interface are horrible.
  • Reporting. The reporting is cool and it allows to automatic reports that can be downloaded and automated.
  • Integration. Salesforce Financial Services Cloud has great integration capabilities with other platforms.

Cons

  • Automation. There is room to automate certain processes that require manual executions.
  • Implementation. It is hard and requires a 3rd party to help to implement which is costly.

Return on Investment

  • Positive impact - It really helps the tracking and traceability of actions, process and flows. It is very scalable and helps to organize big enterprises.
  • Negative impact - It is not cheap, I will consider Salesforce Financial Services Cloud in the upper scale of costs. However, the cloud capacity is top notch.

We use the system for lead generation and sharing leads within the sales team in the organisation. We ensure that we follow through on leads and opportunities and in particular, find it really useful to be able to share information between ourselves internally.
We are a happy and inclusive team and we enjoy the processes involved in sharing and generating new business for our company.

Does exactly what I needed

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Salesforce helped our company be able to track all opportunities and see the bottom line number. It helped track/follow through with all opportunities. Make notes, track conversations with the lead, "win" or "lose" the opportunity. It also allowed us as a company to be able to see where all leads stand at all times. (Rather than asking your co-worker where the lead stands.)
