We as supplier connect with our customers for enabling punchout level 1 & 2. Customers with sufficient orderlines will go through a full EDI integration (orders, order confirmations, despatch advice, except from e-invoicing, this will go in Belgium mandatory via Peppol. Eriks will never go for PO-flip due to the complexity of our organisation (no reduction of administration). There is no link between the Business Network and the tendering process. This makes the tendering process very complex and we loose a lot of time. This must be improved.
Pros
Catalog
EDI integration
Cons
Tendering process
Communication between customer and supplier
Support between customer and supplier
Integrations with international customers: involvement of local organization is important
Likelihood to Recommend
Very good for punchout catalogs (suppliers don't like static catalogs).
We use SAP Business Network to transact with our largest customers, its brings both the customer and supplier significant benefits and alleviates manual processing of orders, invoices etc
Pros
Process Purchase orders and invoices seamlessly
Great dashboards and user experience
Cons
Reporting can be challenging to setup and get what you need
Different order status can he hard to read
Ability to process manual invoices vs requiring a PO flip, should have a build in OCR scanner
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited to large integrations which we can automate and integrate
Not well suited to small customers that require manual PO processing and PO Flip invoicing, there should be a way to automate small customers without integration. Other platforms are using AI and scanning technology to do this for Purchase orders and invoices
Great network to open up new opportunities

We are a supplier, and our customers integrate with our systems using SAP Business Network. Customers only have to integrate with SAP Business Network 1 time, then have access to any of their vendors who are also integrated with the platform simplifying procurement with their vendors.
Pros
Communicate with the community
Solicit feedback from partners
Provide solutions to customer needs for simplified procurement
Utilize standard schemas and data flows to ease vendor integrations
Cons
Push standard "out of the box" onboarding to simplify integrations
utilize supplier experience and knowledge to improve the onboarding process
communicate coming changes and enhancements so suppliers know of new functionality through newsletters or webinars
Likelihood to Recommend
Large companies want to simplify procurement with their vendor community. Using a platform such as SAP Business Network greatly simplifies this, and does not lock customers to 1 single supplier like direct integration does.
